Great food which is comforting and hospitable service. Food is takeaway only and the restaurant charges a small fee for a fork, which is made of metal so it's definitely reusable. There are seats from the opposite bar/cafe which can be used during your meal, but you should purchase something from them, to be fair for using their property.

So it was definitely not worth the money. I feel a bit ripped off. Rather below average and there are definitely better pastas in Bologna.

Maravilloso almuerzo. Esto es esencialmente un 'agujero en la pared' cocina de pasta para llevar donde uno luego lleva la comida a un bar local para comer con una cerveza. La comida era increíble, y una experiencia encantadora. Una visita obligada en Bolonia.

05/11/2025: Good value for money, a classic trattoria with a business menu at a more than fair price, but if you don't book, you'll have to wait a long time before you can sit at the table.
04/11/2025: We arrived at Il Randagio an hour before opening — tired, hungry, fresh off a full day of travel — and the owner noticed us and made a plan. WOW! Within minutes, we had wine, water, and a delicious appetizer, and before long, we were enjoying an incredible meal. Everything was real, simple, and absolutely spectacular. Can’t wait to be back — thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
