Excellent raw material and extremely good and beautiful dishes. The service is always friendly and attentive. The place is simple, but well-kept and very clean. Every time we are in the area we come back specifically, because it is an exquisite guarantee.

I was at Papposileno and I must say that it was one of those dinners that remain in your heart. Each dish was a discovery, prepared with the freshest ingredients and surprising, but never forced, combinations. Every bite was an explosion of flavours, from the first to the last. The wine they recommended to me was simply perfect, it enhanced each course without ever overpowering it. It is immediately clear that there is careful research behind every bottle. The staff? Impeccable. Kind, helpful and always ready to give advice or tell the story of a dish or a wine, all with a sincere smile that makes you feel pampered. The place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the kind that makes you want to stay and chat for a long time after dinner, with the last sip of wine in hand. In short, Papposileno is not just a place to eat well: it is an experience to live and relive. I can't wait to go back!

A welcoming and beautifully decorated restaurant in the cellars of an ancient building. Outdoor seating is available for warmer weather. A cocktail bar is located at the entrance. The menu, surprisingly, is primarily seafood-based, despite being located in the hills between Chianti and Valdarno. The ingredients are extremely fresh and of excellent quality. Dishes are well prepared and presented. The service is very professional and courteous. The wine list is comprehensive and varied. Prices are moderately high.

26/06/2025: The food was incredible and for the price of everything it was really worth the money in every way. We had bread, slices of pizza dough with herbs and tomato sauce and prosecco to start, all complementary. We then had the octopus pasta whichw as so filling, so much octopus and so delicious. We also had the tuna and roasted vegetables as a second dish which was cooked beautifully. We finished with the pistachio tiramisu to share and it was incredible. We had the house wine for 15 euros a bottle which was also really good - you can never go wrong with house wine in Italy! All in all the food and timing of the service was great and the atmosphere felt chique and warm at the same time. The o ly downsides are that it was very warm outside with no fans or any cooling (34 degrees was a bit much and even hotter inside) and the staff were a bit standoffish and not so friendly. They indeed did their job well, but even with the locals it felt a bit too strict service, it's okay to have a joke and smile but this was definitely not the case here. Edit - went back for takeaway pizza and the half British half Italian waitress was lovely!!
