Our experience started out great: from the moment we asked if dinner was available, we were struck by the kindness and thoughtfulness with which they responded. Shortly after, we were comfortably seated and immediately felt completely at ease, enjoying a truly enjoyable dinner. All the dishes we tasted were delicious, prepared with top-quality ingredients that brought out the traditional flavors. A huge special mention goes to Mrs. Filomena, a delightful person and excellent hostess whose warmth makes the atmosphere unique. The quality-price ratio was very, very good. Try this trattoria! The experience will certainly be pleasant, and you'll feel welcomed in a warm embrace. We'll definitely be back.

After booking our stay in Matera, I asked the B&B host for recommendations on trattorias serving traditional Lucanian dishes. Among the many recommendations, Trattoria Paolangelo was recommended. After reading some online reviews, we decided to book, fortunately in advance. The restaurant is welcoming, tidy, clean, and has a family atmosphere. We were guided by a lady, presumably the owner, and we're happy we followed her advice. Considering there were six adults, we initially ordered "only" three appetizers and "only" three first courses, but after realizing what we were getting, we reduced our order to just two first courses. The service was amazing: we were served an incredible quantity of appetizers, incredibly fresh and delicious, in generous portions. A truly rare culinary experience! I started taking photos, but realized I'd forgotten to immortalize some of the dishes. It's truly a shame we didn't have the chance to repeat and enjoy other delicacies from this superb trattoria. The quality-price ratio is exceptional, worthy of a Nobel Prize for cooking!

A restaurant with distinctive dishes and gluten-free options. I recommend mentioning that the gluten-free pasta isn't homemade. I ordered orecchiette with turnip greens, but they served me fusilli.

Trattoria dal servizio veloce e molto gentili. Ma consiglio soprattutto per il cibo. Tutto ottimo. Ma attenzione perché le quantità sono veramente abbondanti. Già con gli antipasti si è sazi . Ma avendo ordinato anche la primi possiamo confermarne la bontà . Conviene prenotare. Se siete a Matera andate e non vi pentirete

Abbiamo pranzato in quattro e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Piatti della tradizione, ottimi, abbondanti e un servizio efficiente e professionale. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Lo consiglio!
