Panificio Sponghi In Bologna

This bakery is amazing!! They have an amazing selection and I haven't found anything I don't like yet, everything is delicious! Plus, everyone is super nice :) Highly recommended!

At a friend's recommendation, I've been here a couple of times to try their products. The first time, I ordered croissants for breakfast: pistachio, jam, cream, and chocolate; the second time, I ordered a tenerina, brioche, and some ravioli. I'll start by saying that I can't wait to go back to try the savory options, as they have a vast selection of products that's simply breathtaking. But back to the sweets: I found all the products to be high-quality and delicious. I'm a little less satisfied with the cream, which I wasn't crazy about, but that's subjective. I'm also a little less satisfied with the pistachio, which nowadays is used in spreads, which in my opinion somewhat diminishes the product. But other than that, the croissant itself was good, as were the ravioli and the tenerina. Last but not least, the brioche with chocolate chips is incredibly delicious, and I can't wait to come back one weekend to get the extra-large size.

Alas, two years ago I discovered I'm celiac, but my family isn't... It's when we manage to stop for a slice of pizza or a croissant... Well, those are among the things I fill up on and miss the most... not to mention the cookies of all flavors... We now live in Savignano, but if we can for the children's birthdays, we continue to order from them. The guys and girls at the counter are always extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and if you're lucky enough to ask for something they don't know and they call you Davide, you'll discover the true meaning of passion and knowledge in what you do. Keep up the good work...
