Panificio Maria Vailati In Milano

My friends and I had just arrived in Milano Centrale, starving, and found this gem of a place. Not only was the food incredible, but the warm, friendly service of the owners gave us a great start to our trip. Thank you so much 💖💖

Great variety of baked goods, sweets, etc... Adequate prices. Possible to book and then collect in store.

The place is on the way to attractions, but it is not worth going there. Food foccacia not the best, sweet good. Service ok and a place with soul. Everything looks beautiful.

Popped in to get a quick bite as we walked from the train station to the museum and castle. This place doesn’t look like much in the outside but this inside is floor to ceiling, wall to wall of baked treats, breads and pastries. It’s unreal. We don’t speak Italian but know the few odd words - the staff were lovely and kind. They must be used to seeing English tourists with eyes on stalks. Lunch for two came to €12, or so. It is a must visit and we’ll be going again. Wish I’d taken a better photo!

My father-in-law has always been going there, and that's how we discovered it too, Maria Vailati's bakery. Once you try it you can't help it! In the shop there is every kind of sweet, savory, bread... Correct quality/price. Friendly and helpful staff.

wholemeal and cereal/rye bread is excellent. I find it every time I go and everyone is very courteous and quick

Maria.... the true LANDLORD OF THE HOUSE!!! Friendly staff, excellent quality food, basically everything at the top! The only flaw, but it certainly doesn't depend on them, is that the area is frequented by bad people to say the least and someone should take care of eliminating them.
