Panevin In Feltre

Back after a few years. This place remains a sound option for quality dining in the area. The a la carte menu contained several appealing item (a few of them not available on the the day, but replaced by other attractive ones), but we went for the "water" 5 course menu (the other two are "earth" and a mixed one). The cuisine is personal and never run-of-the-mill, with good ingredients. Some dishes were decidedly impressive - we especially liked the first two, a trout in a sort of hollandaise sauce; and a stuffed squid in a delicious tomato sauce, a pleasant contrast in style with the preceding one. The other dishes were less spectacular, either because of imperfection (tuna very salty), or simply because they did not pack such a punch in terms of flavour. But they were all enjoyable and we finished them all with pleasure. The room is quite intimate and welcoming. Service is friendly. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the produce and of the cooking. I hope this small restaurant, by now an institution in the area, which attracts both locals and tourists like us, continues to thrive.

Man glaubt es kaum: an so einem abgelegenen und unscheinbaren Ort und in völlig nüchterner Ausstattung genossen wir einen kreativen Fünfgänger mit guten Weinen für einen unschlagbar günstigen Preis! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Loaded and well-kept place. The owner is very kind and helpful. Excellent and balanced à la carte offerings as well as the tasting menus. Very good dishes. Competent and fun beverage pairing.
