Fantastic food and wine, not full of tourists. Eat where the locals do.

Authentic, quiet spot near two churches. Very nice waiter. Excellent food. House wine was great. Specials were delicious. Great vibes.

Small restaurant with a terrace on a quiet, almost empty street. Away from the crowds, a very pleasant culinary surprise. Perfect dishes. Welcoming, smiling server, who spoke English and made an effort to speak French. The food was delicious, the price was totally justified, we highly recommend it. Remember to make a reservation.

This was the standout dining experience from my time in Venice - delicious food (especially the seafood options), beautifully yet simply presented, a warm atmosphere largely catering to locals, and hospitable staff who clearly take pride in their craft and restaurant. The pickled vegetables, seafood (prawn, crab) starters, and the wide selections of grappa and Sardinian liquors really impressed. Look forward to returning in a future trip.

One of our culinary highlights in Venice. A wonderfully secluded, quiet square with little to no tourist crowds. We received a very friendly welcome. Listen to the waiter's suggestions. This isn't a tourist trap, but honest advice. We followed his suggestions and didn't regret it. The ham with melon, roasted scallops, sole fillet, and the classic "black" squid ink pasta, and a tiramisu to finish. I now know how these Venetian classics are supposed to taste. The waiter is genuinely proud of what he serves and calls it "honest, simple cuisine, served with love." We paid a little more than in the average Venetian (and probably lower-quality) restaurant, but we were happy to do so when you see what you get in return. An authentic, family-run restaurant in Venice can be hard to find, and this is absolutely the real deal. We go to Venice a lot- this week was about the 7th time we've visited. Every time, we eat at Trattoria Anzolo Raffaele because it's amazing. It's off the beaten track in Dorsoduro, run by a husband and wife, and the food is absolutely wonderful. Fresh authentic ingredients, prepared with skill and heart. The seafood is amazing, but we also love their steak with rosemary. We keep coming back for more! Just to manage expectations: they don't do pizza or kids' menus. But they do amazing gluten-free pasta if anyone has allergies!

Authentic food with authentic staff. Away from touristic places but you might hear some loud American tourists sometimes.... Hard to miss unfortunately

Mit der Familie zum Abschluss der Venedigreise ein Nachtessen im Anzolo Raffaele. Das beste kommt ja bekanntlich zum Schluss. Der Service, die Freundlichkeit, die ganze Stimmung auf diesem schönen Platz, es ist einfach alles bestmöglich. Das Essen war auch bei diesem Besuch absolut grossartig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Hemos cenado aquí cuatro o cinco veces en los últimos 10 años, tanto dentro como fuera. En el camino, cambiaron de nombre, pero la experiencia es la misma, y es genial. Fue fresco y lluvioso en nuestra última visita a Venecia, así que disfrutamos del ambiente cálido y acogedor del interior. Cálida bienvenida, buena comida y servicio. No es un menú enorme, pero todo en él es fresco y de origen local, incluyendo verduras de su jardín en la isla de Sant’Erasmo, que me encantaría visitar alguna vez. Asegúrese de reservar con antelación, ya que el restaurante es comparativamente pequeño, y he visto a la gente ser rechazado. La zona que rodea el restaurante se encuentra entre las zonas más tranquilas y menos turísticas de Venecia, una ventaja!
