Palazzo Petrucci Ristorante In Napoli

My wife and I went here recently to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. I've been lucky enough to eat at some amazing locations over the years, so I was quite excited to be eating at a Michelin star restaurant. We opted for the "chef surprise" menu, where a random assortment of dishes would be brought out for us to try. With the lovely surroundings, great reputation and wonderful service, we expected good things, but were unfortunately left quite disappointed. All the dishes served were very average, and for an establishment of this stature, well below par. As each dish came, I kept hoping that the next would be better, but sadly there was no improvement, and when the dessert was served, so was the final nail in the coffin. Perhaps we chose badly and in retrospect, maybe the "Signature" menu was the right choice, but regardless, I would expect a lot more. This was meant to be a memorable and special evening, but it's more likely to be remembered for how disappointed we were.

Set in an amazing location and run by friendly and knowledgeable staff, this place serves nice food - recommended!

As a frequenter of restaurants of all kinds and therefore also starred ones, mainly abroad, it is always a disappointment to have unpleasant experiences on evenings in which expectations were high. Here they were and the disappointment was almost total. Environment and staff bordering on the aseptic, which clashes with the spectacular panorama that can be admired from the restaurant and with the soul of the city; of which there is no trace, neither in the chef's work nor in the premises. The excessive technique, the plastic and stereotyped behavior in the presentation of the dishes, leave us to imagine a job done as a homework to maintain a standard, not to impress. In Italy, however, unlike other countries, the starred restaurant necessarily assumes this rigid posture which is not, contrary to what one might think, a sine qua non for inclusion in the guide, especially if it is not supported by solid foundations. and on a product that will be remembered. Furthermore, when we arrived, the table was not ready although booked very well in advance. Not a care for that. Bill in line with the average of restaurants in this range, but experience significantly below expectations. A shame.

Truly enchanting place and impeccable service... Prices adequate for the quality standard even if the pizza is better at the Piazza San Domenico location without any doubt.

Esperienza positiva. Posto spettacolare. La scelta è stata la pizza con cocktail suggerito dal personale. Ambiente raffinato . Molto attenti nei confronti dei clienti. Vista spettacolare

Très bon restaurant serveur top et super sympa

Food was fine but nothing exceptiona at a rather high price. Ambient was cold and not very elegant.
