Really enjoyed our Florentine steak dinner at Caffe Italiano

Just previously read about this place near the Galileo Museo & Basilica Croce on the Southeast side. Lots of overall positive reviews of the aforementioned attributes: 5 stars in every aspect. My gf and I walked about 8 mins to this lively spot after leaving the Galileo; it’s our final night in Firenze so we wanted a high quality meal to remember the city by —and that we got— along with friendly service staff. Carbonara was done to perfection here, al dente & tasty—- some other places just don’t get it right. Raviolis with meat sauce and roasted sea bass (branzino) with thinly sliced yukon potatoes, capers & sun dried tomatoes were also well executed. I’d spent 20yrs in kitchens career wise and this is how hospitality/F & B industry should strive for. We didn’t do dessert, but I’m sure they’re also very good. Bes was our server along with a sweet young lady and good natured male host.

It's a special place with an extraordinary energy, beautiful people and delicious food. The place is easy to find and I didn't regret choosing it. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Just popped out for a quiet pizza and a glass of wine, which turned into a wonderful "Festa della donna" as we were spoiled from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. Special thanks to Ash and the saff for being so attentive and humorous. Francesca and Chiara 😊😊🍷

great restaurant the food excellent I had the spaghetti carbonnara with truffle it was great the waiters are very nice we were even offered a glass of limanchelo very nice decor nothing to say frankly it was perfect I strongly advise

This could be my local hangout. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Felt like they knew me, but this was my first visit. The Osso Buco was delicious. There were a few others that I needed to go back and try....I will when I return in October

Ash was our server and he was outstanding!! The dinners were incredible. Osobuko, risotto and sauteed spinach were to die for. Excellent wine selection.
