The restaurant is quaint and welcoming. The food is good and the value is excellent. I would recommend adding some vegetables to the menu. The service is patchy, and at times superficial. There's room for improvement. But Colonnella Alta is worth the whole experience regardless.

If you're looking for a simple dinner in a pleasant atmosphere with a truly spectacular view, this restaurant is a must-try. The highlight is definitely the cool and pleasant terrace, which offers a splendid 180° view: on one side, the hinterland with the Abruzzo mountains, and on the other, the view extends to the sea. Highly recommended, especially at sunset, when the light creates a truly special atmosphere and the view becomes even more evocative. The kitchen offers simple, local dishes, perfect for an unpretentious yet enjoyable dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful. A place we recommend especially for enjoying a beautiful evening, a good dinner, and, above all, a truly worthwhile view!

I've heard a lot of good things about the family atmosphere in the town of Colonnella. This year, when I go on holiday in those parts, I'll definitely go there too to enjoy typical dishes from the Abruzzo tradition.

Excellent experience, the food is good...very kind staff...highly recommended. The Tarenghi family, after a week we went back for pizza😋 delicious, really good, light, easy to digest...excellent!! Very good...we'll be back to visit you again...it's a great place to be...thank you for your courtesy and kindness. Excellent restaurant!!!

22/07/2026: It's been a wonderful 3 weeks. Romolo is incredibly kind and witty. The girls at the bar are brilliant and very kind. Gabriel is always on point. What more could I ask for? You made me feel at home. The sea is stunning and Giulianova is in my heart.
30/06/2026: The beach is very well-kept and clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. Important to note: my furry friend had a wonderful time!
