Typical osteria. We visited here with our family in early December. You can choose between the à la carte menu or the tasting menu. We opted for three different typical Piedmontese first courses, all of which were delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, even to the needs of children. We'll be back.

I went for lunch. The raw meat was excellent, and I was surprised to find dishes that also had the option of adding white truffle. I recommend it.

Excellent food, traditional Piedmontese, specializing in snails. Friendly and professional staff. I gave the ambiance four stars because the ground-floor dining room isn't very large, so we had lunch in the basement dining room, which has no windows, which was slightly underwhelming. Otherwise, highly recommended, right in the heart of Cherasco.

A dinner that captures the region and expresses its soul: the menu at Osteria Umberto is a perfect synthesis of Piedmontese flavors. My choice fell on the chef's selection of appetizers, where bagna cauda, ​​veal with tuna sauce, and beef tartare balanced and masterfully expressed the tradition and creativity of those who have made cooking an art. The tajarin with truffles was a true feast for the palate, perfectly blending the delicacy of fresh pasta with the intensity of truffles in a harmony of aromas and flavors. The lemon guinea fowl was also excellent, simple yet full of character, an authentic expression of a cuisine that focuses on substance and quality. The carefully crafted and authentic desserts concluded the dinner with a focus on the region, using ingredients of undisputed quality. Also noteworthy is the extensive and well-rounded wine list, featuring the must-haves of Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, and Nebbiolo, as well as some interesting local delicacies that provide the perfect excuse to return. A special mention goes to the service: the wait staff were impeccable, attentive, and always professional, their smiles adding to an already generous evening of sensory gratification. The refined and welcoming atmosphere contributes to a warm and authentic atmosphere, where you immediately feel at ease. The prices are fair, making this gastronomic experience accessible to all foodies. A place to keep in mind and recommend without hesitation.
