The substance is there. I really liked the first courses, the second courses, and the desserts. The appetizer I ordered (fried gnocchi and cured meats) was less so. The gnocchi were NOT greasy, but I didn't like them because they were a bit too hard (obviously, that's a personal preference). The cured meats were good. I liked the atmosphere, even if it was a bit messy (like a window curtain with the rod holding it broken). Inside, it was a bit chilly, with people wearing jackets while having lunch. The service was aseptic, in short, without feeling, a bit too rushed. Prices were high... especially for the desserts, although I must reiterate, they were very good... but 8 euros for a smooth mascarpone is a lot (in my opinion). My average star rating would be 3, but it deserves 4.

We also ate well, the service was in line with the local but the prices were expensive considering the location: 8 euros for a slice of zuppa inglese seems a bit excessive to me!

We arrived based on other reviews. The atmosphere was simple, reminiscent of old trattorias, and clean. The manager gave us a warm welcome. He's knowledgeable, and his passion for his craft shines through. The menu features "unusual" variations:
fried frogs, with battered vegetables and fruit, tagliolini with truffles, a delicacy, fried and grilled porcini mushrooms, and much more. The quality/price ratio was average. I didn't try the desserts; they just weren't up to par. But among the classics, the homemade ciambella (dunk cake) to dip in Sicilian Marsala stands out.
In short, a pleasant dinner, a little different. I'll be back!

Excellent Italian cuisine. Large dining room, varied menu. I especially enjoyed the desserts (particularly the Zuppa Anglesse). Grazie for the warm welcome!

It looks like a classic trattoria, with a simple interior that I found pleasant and welcoming.
Typical Ferrarese dishes, perhaps with some Apennine influences (fried porcini mushrooms, for example). Everything is very good. The staff is very friendly.
