We had such an amazing experience at Osteria San Nicola honestly, I’m still thinking about it. When we first arrived, we were so excited to eat, but we quickly realized they were close. We were a little bummed at first, but instead of turning us away, the owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. They still offered to cook for us, and not only that they made us feel like we were old friends coming over for dinner. The hospitality was on another level. The owners are truly kind, beautiful souls so sweet, so genuine, and easy to communicate with. You could feel how much love and pride they put into their food and their space. It honestly felt like home. Now let’s talk about the food, wow. Every single starter was a hit. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and so comforting. You could tell it was made with care and tradition. Everything was perfectly cooked, rich in flavor! We ended the meal with a dessert and a cappuccino, and it was the perfect way to finish our lunch. The whole experience felt like a warm hug from the food to the people to the atmosphere. I’m so glad we ended up going, even more so because we got to experience the typical local food, prepared and served with so much heart. This place is a gem not just for the food, but for the whole experience. Truly unforgettable.

Best place to eat some traditional Italian food food

We stayed at the San Nicola tavern during our tour of the parks cycle route. Mario, the owner, welcoming, kind and helpful. Pizza San Nicola very good but above all the pork. Highly recommended!

The cuisine uses top-quality ingredients, showing respect in their preparation. The owners are fantastic people, and the entire staff is kind and friendly. In addition to offering refined traditional cuisine, they also offer fantastic pizza. I'm sure you'll leave feeling completely satisfied with whatever you eat. Highly recommended!

Ottimo cibo calabrese e servizio celere e accogliente. Antipasti abbondanti e sfiziosi con buoni prodotti a km zero. Primi con i funghi protagonisti. Esperienza più che positiva.
