Unfortunately my meat was not medium (the picture makes it look much redder than it was I realise). Overall good service and nice vibe. But of course it’s a touristy city so cannot compare it (price wise) to other Italian locations.

Absolutely delicious! I had the best risotto of my life here. The fish from Lake Como was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend visiting this place for a wonderful culinary experience!

The food was exceptional, and I really enjoyed it, especially if you like wild food. 🫣 We had pasta with (wild) rabbit ragu and a really fancy pasta dish with fish and potato and egg foam. The drinks were also good, and the service was decent, even though it was really busy...

Very nice meal. Duck and fish fillets were our secondi. Be sure to make reservations, either as you stroll by earlier in your stay or by phone.

Fantastic food and wine. Nothing more to say. If you’re in Varenna and looking for a fantastic meal in a fantastic restaurant, then I would recommend check it out. It looks simple and unassuming from the street - but inside is amazing. We ate here tonight. The service was great. We shared the octopus starter - good sized serve. We then had the squid ink pasta and the duck. Both were great. The octopus and duck were my favourite.

07/09/2025: A historic restaurant in Barzio. The food is good and reasonably priced. It offers a full range of traditional Valsassina dishes. The restaurant is beautiful, with large, beautifully furnished rooms featuring copperware. At the entrance, a centuries-old wisteria fills the entire street with its fragrant scent. Inside, you can see a truly spectacular, ancient original well. Recommended.
06/09/2025: The food is delicious, with well-prepared, very tasty dishes and generous portions. Then, it's made to order according to the customer's taste. Park in the center of the square (Barzio) and the restaurant is just a few steps away.
