Osteria Porta del Mar In Marano lagunare

Very good restaurant. A great discovery. Discovered through friends, this restaurant on the edge of the lagoon offers simple, well-prepared, and very tasty dishes. It's located in the pedestrian zone and has a few covered tables under a porch. Pleasant setting and professional service. We chose scallops, scampi, and shrimp for our starters. For our main courses, we had seafood Scoglio pasta and baked sea bass. We enjoyed local red wine and Prosecco. It was very good. The owner, who is also the chef, offered us digestifs, and we spent some time with her. I highly recommend this establishment if you're in the area. The prices are reasonable. A faultless first evening.

Spaghetti with clams in broth... totally unrelated and tasteless. What a shame.

We returned for Sunday lunch and had a wonderful time once again. The exquisite dishes, meticulously prepared, and the always friendly staff were a resounding success. A beautiful restaurant, elegant and refined. We will definitely return.

Our lunch was okay (primo and secondo), but we weren't thrilled. The background music was particularly annoying. The same song (boring bar music) played what felt like 10 times, and we thought they were giving us a psychological test, wanting to know when the audience would complain or resort to more drastic measures. 😀

Fresh fish, courtesy, good price

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, fresh and excellent food, and a truly reasonable price for what we ate (and took home). We'll definitely be back. P.S. Marano is very beautiful at night.

Fortunately I did believe the good Google ratings and tried this Osteria. Spaghetto Vongole is unbeatable, Fritto misto as well, nice and friendly staff, good wine and the service was always fast. I got the last seat without reservation, even though the restaurant was almost empty. This has been criticized quite often in negative ratings here at Google. But after 20:00 all tables have been fully occupied with people who were smart to reserve a table! If this cannot be understood by some tourists (and I have been a tourist myself) and therefore people rate the restaurant poorly I can only conclude they simply do not understand the culture to book a table in time and by this providing the restaurant a base for forecasting their daily business. So I want to say Thanks for the nice dinner and that I got the last table as a stupid tourist who did not reserve before!

Il succo del discorso e’ che…..si mangia davvero bene! Menu cortissimo incentrato sulla cucina di mare (e che altro poteva esserci a Marano Lagunare?) declinata ottimamente sia nella versione molluschi/crostacei (eccellente l’antipasto misto di gratinati), sia in quella del fritto misto (buonissimo), sia in quella del pesce-pesce (un filetto di branzino inconsueto per qualita’ e quantita’). Il locale e’ molto accogliente e i prezzi sono equi: cosa volere di piu’?

Ottimi piatti e porzioni abbondanti. I dipendenti sempre gentili e disponibili e la proprietaria super. Consiglio vivamente la pasta allo scoglio
