Osteria Pantasima In L'aquila

09/02/2025: We went to Il Gallo di Pietra in Pescocostanzo at the invitation of friends, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The restaurant has an extremely romantic atmosphere, with soft lights and a setting that always recalls a bit of the Christmas atmosphere. The restaurant, in a historic building, retains all its charm. Initially I was a bit perplexed about the appetizers, since the proposal is mainly based on platters, which this time we skipped. We instead opted for the first and second courses off the menu, following the staff's advice. The ravioli filled with ricotta and covered with truffles were really excellent, as was the braised meat in wine, accompanied by local side dishes such as bitter and slightly spicy chicory. The wine selection is extensive and the desserts delicious - the meringues and apple strudel were both exceptional. A special applause for the courtesy of the staff, in particular for Vittorio, very nice and very attentive. In conclusion, a place where we will definitely return. The price is in line with the quality and average of the area, therefore absolutely recommended!

09/02/2025: Very cute and cozy restaurant in Pescocostanzo. Food was excellent. Service was perfect. Atmosphere was just what you would hope for in this quaint mountain town with small, intimate rooms and even a fireplace. Highly recommend.
