A truly excellent restaurant in the center of San Giorgio del Sannio. Careful selection of ingredients (especially the cod) and carefully crafted dishes with a focus on balance. Good value.

We discovered this place by pure chance, and I have to say it exceeded all expectations. Everything was perfect: from the owners' hospitality, to the delicious food, to the attention to detail. An experience not to be missed.

The food is like home made food with the touch of stared restaurant. Everything we tried was really good and well presented. The place is really well designed and it doesn't look like local osteria. Fast serving and well trained staff.

07/01/2026: On a winter rainy pilgrimage route, unable to ride a bicycle due to a foot injury, the kind-hearted owner's wife, Anna, offered to drive me down the mountain to the next guesthouse in Benevento. I was deeply moved and grateful for their kindness.
12/11/2025: Was a nice coffee and croissant stop before the hike to Benevento. Always appreciate when someone offers a pilgrim stamp for the Via Francigena.

Ristorante Il Sannio

04/01/2026: A very spacious and well-equipped restaurant, even for very large groups. Good and plentiful food. Fast and friendly service. A family atmosphere. My wife and I ordered the €25 fixed menu and were very satisfied. I would also add the added bonus of free on-site parking, just steps from the Sagra Famiglia church, the museum, and Padre Pio's house.
03/01/2026: It was raining, the floor was wet, and my sister slipped. If it happened to a bigger person, she could have broken a bone! The food was edible but nothing special. And the service...kind but tired! Even though no one mopped the floor.
