Patience, that's what it takes to eat at Novella: it takes patience to get there, patience to wait (dishes are made to order and not ready-made), and patience to reserve (you need to call ahead). But it's worth it. The location isn't convenient, but you can enjoy a breathtaking view and a pleasant temperature on hot days. The menu is (apparently) sparse; it's best to wait for directions from those who come to take your order, and then you discover a list of pasta dishes served with either Bolognese ragù or with mushrooms or truffles, depending on the season, and then grilled meats: from beef to pork, including the typical mutton. Perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. The meat and homemade pasta are the highlights. The side dishes are also excellent, with friggione and potatoes being super. The platter is also interesting. The portions are generous.

In the summer, an outdoor table offers a fantastic view and allows you to savor all the dishes, from starters to main courses. I highly recommend consulting the menu, otherwise, if you order by word of mouth, you might be surprised by the bill.

Excellent location, very good first and second courses. It's on a road, but you're in the hills and I'd say there's absolutely no traffic 😂. The grilled meat mix, cooked in an old-fashioned fireplace (you rarely see them like that these days), consisting of sirloin, burrata, and T-bone steak, was truly top-notch. Kudos to the ravioli with potatoes and porcini mushrooms.

Novella makes the best tagliatelle Bolognese in the world. The meats, side dishes, and "palate fritte" are no exception. The veranda is a real treat, and inside it's a true osteria. Well... The road isn't a ring road, but the view makes up for it. In short... it's addictive!

Hard to describe in words. In the mountains with a panoramic view. Feels like 1970. The service was excellent and the food was a dream. Highly recommended.

I've been hearing about this place for years and finally had the chance to go there for a company dinner! Exceptional homemade first courses (top tagliatelle and tortelloni) but the meat is truly something not to be missed. Being a table, I had the opportunity to eat multiple cuts, all delicious. Non ritenevo necessario scrivere una recensione anche per evitare che aumentasse l’affluenza e di conseguenza la difficoltà a trovare un tavolo. Ma mi trovo costretto dopo aver letto alcune recensioni che mi hanno obbligato a riflettere sulla effettiva necessità che tutti indistintamente vadano al ristorante invece di mangiare nella quiete di casa. Procedo. Domenica a pranzo, 4 persone. Il tempo di sedersi e l’amuse bouche è in tavola: battuta di carne cruda con cime di asparagi. Iniziamo a fare seriamente con un tagliere di salumi e formaggi che bisticciano per mettersi in mostra e finire nel piatto. A seguire 3 lasagne + 1 tagliatella che sarebbe irrispettoso giudicare. Un attimo di respiro e poi la carne, ottima di qualità, perfetta di cottura. Cavallo del Gran Prix d’Amerique, bisonte delle pianure sfuggito a Buffalo Bill, cervo fieramente cornuto. 2 dolci, 2 bottiglie di rosso riserva, 2 di acqua gas, 2 caffè, 4 ammazza caffè. Il conto € 250. Se sono troppi il mio consiglio è state a casa, così avrò meno problemi a trovare posto.

Di passaggio ci siamo fermati per caso in questa osteria. Locale molto conosciuto e affollato. Ambiente rumoroso, arredo volutamente fermo agli anni 80 con perlinato alle pareti. Primi niente di particolare ma fiorentina veramente buona accompagnata da buone verdure. Personale attento, conto giusto.
