Osteria Monti In Domaso

I popped in for a moment and bought a few beautiful wines. Not cheap, but good value for money. Every bottle you buy from the display rack is neatly retrieved from a climate-controlled room.

We come to Monti every time we are in Domaso. Food is wonderful, Paolo, Annalisa and the team couldn’t be more welcoming and the wine list is so SO good. Strongly recommend you go if in northern Como.

Amazing food and service! The best we found in this part of lake como. The pulpo is the best I've ever had! Wine recommendations are also on point.

We ate there twice during our holiday. Beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere, certainly one of the better restaurants in the wider area. The service and the flavors of the dishes were exquisite. Additionally, they have a large selection of wines in all price ranges.

Nice atmosphere. Service and staff are excellent and very attentive. Food presentation top class. Offer great gluten free service. However, food was severally lacking in flavour. Steak tartare appeared to have no additional ingredients other than greens and croutons on top, very under seasoned. Amberjack tartare was better but unfortunately still lacking flavour. Lobster linguine had nice lobster tail but the sauce was lacking flavour and very under seasoned. The biggest downside was my parters clam spaghetti. Flavour was just fine but three of the clams had large pieces of sand/grit in it. We made staff aware after the second time, and were offered a replacement meal. Not wanting to make a fuse and me having almost finished, we decided to leave the matter and finish our meal. We were charged full price for the grit filled spaghetti. Sadly the highlight of the meal was the bread and great quality olive oil that it came with. Haven eaten in other restaurants in the area I could not honestly recommend this place

We went there today with two kids for espresso. Starter: Octopus on potato foam, absolutely delicious. Child 1: Penne with tomato sauce, amazing! Child 2: Cappellacci with prawns on pesto *yum*! Parents: Ribeye steak and tagliata fassona *a dream*! Dessert: Chocolate molten center cake with pistachio ice cream in a chocolate coating, served with raspberry jelly. Absolutely top-notch wines at unbeatable prices.
