I had dinner at this restaurant during my trip to Venice.
While Venice has many restaurants, I decided on this one because I'd read reviews that suggested it was friendly to Japanese people.
I visited around 6 PM on a Sunday, and although the restaurant was about 80% full, I was able to enter without a reservation. However, there were many tables with reserved signs, so depending on the day and time of day, it may be difficult to get in.
The menu was in English, so I was able to understand it fairly well. Even with my limited English, the staff were kind and patient with a smile.
I ordered:
Aperol, a glass of white wine, prosciutto and mozzarella, squid ink spaghetti, and carbonara.
After ordering, they also served water and bread.
(The menu states a 2.50 euro service charge.)
The prosciutto and mozzarella was incredibly delicious, thanks to the thick slices of prosciutto. Drizzling the olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table made it even more delicious. The mozzarella was also large and delicious, and highly recommended. I even put it on a baguette and ate it like bruschetta.
The squid ink spaghetti was filled with tomatoes and shrimp, and was incredibly flavorful and delicious without any fishy smell! If you're looking for squid ink pasta, I highly recommend this place!!
The carbonara was served with a generous amount of grated cheese, so you could add as much cheese as you wanted. lol
The original version was also delicious, with plenty of cheese. I enjoyed the rich cheese flavor that you probably won't find in Japan. There was also a huge amount of pancetta, so be sure to eat it with an empty stomach. lol
There were many other delicious dishes on the menu, so if I ever go to Venice again, this is a restaurant I'd definitely like to visit again!
It was a wonderful restaurant that I would recommend to Japanese travelers visiting Venice in the future!

We went for lunch on a Sunday after leaving the Natural History Museum.
A very quiet osteria, off the beaten path, with lots of locals, which is usually a great sign in Venice! The osteria is small, so reservations are recommended. The atmosphere is very homey, the acoustics are excellent, and the service is quick and friendly.
We only had the first courses, and they were really good: just the right portions and flavorful dishes without being too "shy."
We'll definitely be back to try some other dishes!

The food is excellent. We had both fish and tagliatelle with ragù for the kids. The place is very nice. The only downside is the management when it's very busy. We found it a bit disorganized. Reservations are definitely necessary.

Excellent Venetian cuisine, typical of authentic osterias, not commercial establishments. Recommended for those who appreciate authentic cuisine in a homely atmosphere and with the flavors of a refined restaurant.

Very cute, small, and welcoming place. We dined there with a child and it was hard to find a table because it was always packed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, despite the owner's slightly lively nature. We had a great time and a great meal. I highly recommend it; the prices are average.

I finally tried this osteria, which I'd always eyed whenever I passed by to admire the beautiful and magical Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio nearby, and which I'd heard rave reviews about. It was a great experience! Even though I was an hour late due to the miscalculated timing of the vaporetti, I was greeted very kindly, unlike anywhere else. I had lunch in this welcoming, beautifully airy, and tastefully decorated room. Then, thanks to attentive, unobtrusive, and impatient service, I enjoyed a generous, varied, and mouth-watering house-made seafood appetizer: spaghetti al nero alla busara with truly delicious scampi (among the best I've tasted in all my years in the streets of Venice). My companion, meanwhile, was licking his lips over a masterfully prepared spaghetti dish of clams and mussels, rich and flavorful. I finished with tender grilled cuttlefish that still tasted of milk, served with arugula lettuce and white polenta. So satisfied, we were now prepared for a hefty bill, which was instead entirely fair and well-deserved. BRAVI BRAVI BRAVI, a place with authentic, meticulously prepared cuisine, where you can truly feel at home. A final note of praise: the staff were extremely kind and friendly, which is also something that is by no means a given.
