Fish-based menu. Good value for money.

Excellent and fresh food. I ate a snapper cooked to perfection... very soft. My husband had the fish soup but it was in short supply....The place is decorated with a marine theme with the colors that I love, that is, all the shades of blue and light blue. Medium-high prices but fair for the quality of the products. Promoted. The only flaw...we had to wait because there wasn't a free table on a Thursday evening...it was all full. A good sign...it means that the place has an excellent reputation. 😋

Outstanding,truly outstanding. Great food,drinks and service on top of the reasonably priced menu. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been and it is quite possibly in top 5 in all of Italy. I love unpretentious restaurants with high quality honest food. Ticked all the boxes for me. Everything here was very delicious from a little surprise crostini all the way to dessert,coffee and Amaro. Chatting with the owner was fun( he speaks excellent English). He is exceptionally genuine/real/cool and very thoughtful too(thanks for the apperitivo! ). Waiting staff were very kind and patient with my poor Italian language skills and made our evening very special. I don’t think it’s easy to compete with their value for money. I haven’t come across a restaurant this good for a very very long time. Can’t praise Mercede highly enough. This trip was for my 50th birthday and I am so glad that I chose Osteria Mercede. Thank you Palermo, thank you everyone at Mercede. I will try to visit you again. It was worth the flight from London!! Grazie mille

Experience to be repeated, in fact we have already booked again tomorrow. We booked due to the proximity to the b&b by searching online and we didn't regret it, both for the welcome and kindness of the staff but also for the menu, the raw meat was superb and the first courses were not only excellent but also quite plentiful, so tomorrow we'll be back to try the seconds. Another positive note was the speed with which we were served because having a one and a half year old child there is little time to eat. P.S.: the child also enjoyed dinner.

Friendliness of the staff and quality of the food

I had always wanted to go to this restaurant after reading blogs from people who travel around Italy, so I went there for dinner on the day I arrived in Palermo. The problem with being seated was that I had to read the menu from the QR code on the table. Since my smartphone didn't have free Wi-Fi, I first asked for the restaurant's password to connect to Wi-Fi, but the menu that appeared couldn't be enlarged, which again caused inconvenience to several hall staff. I did. I vaguely remembered the sea salad, and since I could faintly read the word Busiate, I asked for the typical Sicilian pasta, Busiate, and they complimented me on what a good choice it was. The first seafood salad that was delivered was fresh octopus, shrimp, and squid with celery and carrots, and it was incredibly delicious! The seafood caught in the Mediterranean Sea filled my mouth. And the piping hot Busiate was delicious with a creamy sauce that also included shrimp! However, since I don't eat much, the amount of pasta was a little too much, and since there were a lot of customers, I ended up leaving it behind. I made a reservation through the B&B, but even though it was a weekday, many customers who hadn't made a reservation came in one after another and everyone turned me away. If I ever go to Palermo again, this is the restaurant I want to eat at again!

Ho sentito parlare spesso di questo ristorante e mi è stato, inoltre, suggerito da un'amica. Siamo usciti tutti entusiasti e contenti del pranzo eccezionale fatto. Piatti cucinati benissimo e devo dire abbondanti. Un cous cous super, supera quello osannato di San Vito Lo Capo. Personale educato, disponibile e sorridente. Ritirerò sicuramente

La fama di questo locale ci ha portato con molta curiosità e aspettative a cenare con la nostra famiglia: tutto molto buono ma forse oramai la qualità media dei ristoranti si è talmente abbassata che un ristorante come questo eccelle quando in vero è semplicemente un buon ristorante senza sbavature, con una cucina anche ricercata nel rivedere certi piatti tradizionali ma non è proprio una eccellenza come la fama che la precede
