Overall the food is good and plentiful, without many pretensions. There is also a fixed price menu for 12 euros.

In questo locale si mangia "quello che c'è", menù stagionale valdostano... Il locale è datato, ma l'ambiente e le persone che lo gestiscono rendono il pranzo piacevole. Servizio ottimo. Zuppa alle erbe veramente ottima, ogni forchettata aveva un gusto diverso, a seconda dell'erba che si mangiava. Anche tutto il resto del pranzo è stato buono, ma la zuppa è una cosa da ricordare.

What I expected reading the other reviews, trattoria with a limited menu but excellent dishes and abundant quantities. It is absolutely worth the price paid, obviously the location, although convenient, on the edge of the road, is not exciting for a "mountain" place.

locale molto piccolo ma vale davvero la pena mangiarci. Ottimo l'antipasto misto, come anche la polenta al sugo di salsiccia, buoni i ravioli preparati con un ragù eccezionale. Personale gentile e disponibile

Il Vecchio Ristoro

21/04/2025: We were impressed by the Vecchio Ristoro in Aosta. The 5-course menu was sensational, every single course was a culinary masterpiece. Excellent quality ingredients provided one culinary delight after another through excellent craftsmanship and creativity. The risotto was one of the best, if not the best, we have ever tried. The fantastic kitchen performance was perfectly complemented by the professional, attentive and courteous service. The elegant ambience of the former mill was very appealing, but the only criticism of our lunch was the room temperature. It was far too cold and we were freezing after a short time. Apart from that, the restaurant is a crystal clear recommendation. For us it is one of the very best 1 star restaurants we have visited in Italy so far and worth every penny.
