Very friendly staff and an excellent location, in the center of Siena. The restaurant is spread over several semi-underground floors, which aren't well-ventilated. We ordered pici with porcini mushrooms; the pasta was very good, homemade and well-cooked, but the mushrooms tasted like nothing. €14 for a plate of pasta without sauce is a bit too much. For our main course, we ordered a tagliata, which was good but a bit tough. Finally, we ordered an apple pie, which fully met our expectations: simple but very good.
Overall, definitely too expensive for what we ate.

I highly recommend this place! The staff is lovely, the atmosphere highly authentic and the food delicious! I ordered the pici con funghi porcini, homemade pasta with fresh porcini mushrooms, just amazing! And the prices are affordable!

Go there with your eyes closed, everything is perfect. A wonderful welcome, inexpensive, delicious, and generous portions without being over the top.
A special mention for the truffle gnocchi, a delight.
€35 for a main course + dessert + two glasses of wine.

Restaurant with outdoor seating options, excellent service, very friendly and polite! We tried the Pici (a typical regional pasta, similar to spaghetti) with porcini mushrooms and the traditional Cacio e Pepe - with cheese and black pepper, in a version with 7 peppercorns... Wonderful! Very flavorful and well-seasoned, spicy just right... Generous portions. We had the house wine (apparently house wines don't disappoint in Italy). If I ever return to Siena, I'll definitely go back there!

This was the best food I’ve had in our whole Italian road trip and we have tried restaurants from Venice to Rome. Amazing food, truly mind blowing. This is what people imagine when talking about how good and original the food is in Italy. The staff is very nice too. Super friendly and genuine. We had to wait a bit for the food but it made up for it in taste. Tried the ravioli and the cacio e pepe. The location is also great. Further away from the tourist but still close to the important sights.

Look, this is a proper osteria. The kind where, when a friend from out of town asks me where to eat, I send him straight here. Here, they focus on substance, and what substance! The first courses are serious fare: some incredible pici cacio e pepe, creamy like you'll never find anywhere else. And as for the meat, there's little to complain about: tender and perfectly cooked. Caterina and Marco, the owners, are down-to-earth people who make you feel at home without too many frills. The place is small, welcoming, and on one of those streets that smells of history. There's always someone who nitpicks, but when Sienese themselves return and bring friends, there must be a reason. If you want to eat well, this is the place. Make a reservation, otherwise you'll be left out.

In giro per Siena abbiamo visto questa piccola trattoria con posti solo all'aperto. Abbiamo deciso di fermarci, anche leggendo buone recensioni.
Il piatto del giorno erano lasagne al sugo di aglione e salsiccia e un tagliere di salumi di selvaggina, molto buoni.
Ma la sorpresa è arrivata da un piatto non tipico toscano: pici cacio e pepe agli 8 pepi.
Un'esplosione di profumi e sapori eccezionale con i vari tipi di pepe che si armonizzavano uno con l'altro senza bruciare in bocca. Piatto realizzato con ottima tecnica e con eccellenti materie prime.
Dovendo ripartire non abbiamo potuto ordinare altro per non appesantirci, ma se avremo un'altra occasione proveremo altri piatti.
Simpatia e disponibilità di tutto il personale.

Desde el exterior este restaurante puede no parecer demasiado especial, pero este es un restaurante especial. Tuve una comida excepcional aquí. La pasta y los desiertos eran particularmente deliciosos. El personal también creó un ambiente acogedor y amable
