Osteria Le Sette Chiese In Bologna

An overall excellent meal and one of the best dinners we have had in Italy during our travels.

Very good food, like the cutting board with tigelle, the gramigna and the shin even if we didn't manage to finish it, friendly and kind staff, with the possibility of taking away the leftovers!

We book days in advance given the impossibility of doing without. Two shifts to eat, few places available, the tavern is really cozy. The atmosphere is very intimate and in addition to the two rooms that host the customers, there is a huge and clean service. Unfortunately, our experience was not positive. Despite respecting the strict shift time of 7.15pm-9pm and the few places full, when we arrived, service and cuisine seemed to be in a bit of difficulty. We are assigned a table near the entrance and therefore the counter/cashier, and despite the eye contact, it is very difficult to be noticed or heard, so I went to the counter a couple of times to ask for a spoon or some bread. Bread that took forever to arrive, even though our starters were on the table and even though we asked for it several times. Let's try the gramigne, lasagna and tortelli in broth. I confirm home cooking. The portions are so-so. The lasagna was practically a taster, very gourmet. The Bolognese cutlet is much better. Still like this the tomino. We didn't like the house wine at all, it seemed long for a Sangiovese. Even the desserts were not up to par, especially the tiramisu, which was low and inconsistent, almost liquid. In the background of our dinner, perennially, the phone rings, the innkeeper answers. Unpleasant situation in such a small environment. On a side note, a couple of customers show up at 8pm, ah ah ah... they are chastised for being late but still made to sit down. Finally, the bill, without surprises, but given what arrived at the table and tasted, in addition to the comparison with our wanderings in Bologna, we did not find it fair. Maybe it was just a bad night. It happens. But how can you not silence that phone and understand that it is a constant nuisance?

One of the best tortellini I've ever eaten in my life. The Bermuda grass is also excellent.

Very good first courses, but supermarket second courses! The schnitzel looked like the €3 Amadori schnitzel. I'm sorry but we expected to spend so much for such poor seconds.

Very characteristic environment frequented mainly by people from Bologna or by those who know the city very well. Delicious dishes prepared by a very kind lady and served by another equally kind lady. They made me feel very good. Thank you

Bello e caratteristico, si mangia davvero bene, prezzi onesti e porzioni ottime, gusti autentici. Tavoli spaziosi dove stare comodi.

Qualità del cibo buona e personale cortese. Una piacevole conferma per un locale storico che per noi bolognesi racchiude tanti ricordi in uno dei luoghi più magici della città.
