Osteria La Piola In Milano

The ossobuco risotto was simply magnificent. Plus the spectacular sesame bread.

A welcoming restaurant with typical Milanese cuisine. The risotto and cutlet were average. I found the place very noisy, probably due to the large number of people at the tables. Service was very slow. I recommend it for group dinners, not for quiet evenings.

Great classic Milanese risotto with Osobuco. Dish is very big, one was enough for us as a couple.

Fantastic food. Ossobuco, risotto, grilled vegetables. Eveeythibg very good. A bit salty risotto but guess thats normal here. The service was good when they first came, but so slow. It took a long time. Cute restaurant.

I'll start by saying that the food is excellent, as is the location and the restaurant itself. It's truly an authentic place where you can enjoy good Milanese cuisine. Unfortunately, and I say this as a waiter with years and places of experience, the service needs a complete overhaul. During the dinner I attended with my partner, the waiters were behind us the entire time, as they were close to the panadora, which isn't a problem in principle. However, when you hear the waiters insulting other customers or using colorful language, things change. The younger waitress at one point pulled a chair from our table because "the place is full and we need to get through," which is fair enough, but she didn't even notice that our bags were on the chair. I'm not saying the restaurant should have five-star service, but if the waiters are rude to customers and carry themselves a certain way, perhaps they should look for another job. There were a lot of customers; obviously, in Milan you can't expect anything else, but it's just basic manners here...

A trattoria serving traditional Milanese and Lombard cuisine. A bit of a trattoria, with a good wine list and slightly above-average prices.

We went to La Piola on a weekday evening. The food was good, carefully prepared, and served appropriately. The sciatt and all the risottos, including the risotto al salto, were excellent. The cotoletta was also good. Prices were average for Milan.

The food was good, a bit pricey, but very plentiful. The service left much to be desired. Some staff were very friendly, while others weren't very polite.
