Well, what can I say? We were looking for a place to eat risotto alla Milanese, and without a doubt, here at La Piola, we had the best ever. The cutlet was also delicious. Friendly staff, they let us dine even though we hadn't booked. I recommend it to everyone. Nadia

It certainly lives up to its promise of respecting Milanese culinary tradition, with crispy risotto al salto, flavorful mondeghili, and excellent meat and even quality freshwater fish. The giardiniera is a delicious accompaniment. Bottled wines for all tastes, some also served by the glass. Fast service. Beautiful historical photos on the walls.

We'd read excellent reviews about La Piola and decided to try it for dinner. The restaurant is small, with a family atmosphere, but the superb quality of the dishes is surprising. We ordered the rice with ossobuco and the Milanese cutlet on the bone: what can I say, a true delight. To finish, a slice of berry cheesecake, excellent and perfectly prepared. The price isn't fast food, but the quality of the ingredients and the expertise in the kitchen are worth every penny. Recommended for those who want to experience traditional Milanese dishes in an authentic and well-executed version.

23/06/2026: The experience was excellent, and the risotto alla Milanese with rustin negàa was sublime. I recommend trying it! The tranquil atmosphere allows you to recharge and decompress after a busy day at work.
14/06/2026: What a wonderful discovery! We went for lunch yesterday to celebrate a birthday and found a welcoming place with a family atmosphere. The decor was very tastefully decorated and clean... the real surprise was the food: traditional Milanese dishes and more, generous portions, and exceptionally delicious. Reasonable prices, and the owner is friendly and welcoming... I highly recommend trying Osteria al Portone; everything from appetizers to dessert was exceptional!

19/05/2026: We ordered the 4 cheese gnocchi and Margherita pizza for 2 people and we were full. Couldn’t end the night without tiramisu! Overall great food, great service!
