We decided to visit this renowned place for a traditional dinner and more. The service was efficient and courteous, and the pizzoccheri were exceptional. However, the osso buco with Milanese yellow risotto lacked salt, compromising its flavour. Due to the limited time (there being 2 hour slots between one booking and another), I didn't want to request further changes, finishing the coffee just in time to make room for the next booked ones. Unfortunately, the lack of salt was a persistent problem in the various dishes and therefore not an isolated case. In conclusion, the bill was adequate but there were some oversights that I would not have expected from such a renowned venue.

My family and I come to this restaurant often. Excellent cuisine, excellent choice of wines... in short, it is an ideal restaurant for tasting excellent quality Lombard cuisine. Right quality-price ratio!

I'm from Pordenone and I'm here in Milan for a few days. I came across the La Piola tavern while searching on Google.
I love Milanese cuisine, so when I come to Milan I always look for typical Milanese taverns where I can have lunch and dinner. Here today I ate a spectacular cutlet!! Tomorrow I will definitely come back to try the Milanese rice with ossobuco because I saw it being served at the nearby table and it is very inviting in appearance, if it is beautiful it is certainly also very good.....from the opinions expressed by the diners I got some he confirms.

Classic tavern like it used to be. Truly traditional Milanese dishes, as well as excellent. Friendly, familiar staff. Generous portions. The main dish with Milanese risotto or sautéed rice is recommended: tasty, rich, varied.
Fair prices, if you are very hungry you will leave really full with around €30/35 each.
I plan to return as soon as possible and highly recommend!

The only downside was the portion...beef strips with porcini mushrooms, it was impossible to finish...
Grilled goat cheese with pear delicious and light...and the Milanese cutlets irresistible...we had a wonderful evening

Questo ristorante è rimasto intatto nei decenni.
Old style la location e menu super tradizionale Lombardo! Ma qui ci si viene per questo: per mangiare un risotto alla milanese con ossobuco o per una cotoletta doc con osso, cotta nel burro chiarificato.🔥
Più che il cibo in se, qui ci si deve venire per l'esperienza complessiva: un tuffo nella tradizione, con un locale agè, un menu di proposte tradizionali, un ambiente familiare e chiassoso.🤩
Ampia lista dei vini e servizio semplice ed efficace.
Tutto questo, ma di tanto in tanto ne vale la pena, a dei prezzi decisamente alti💲💲 ma se volete tuffarvi in una esperienza classica di inizio secolo (2000) mettete mano al portafoglio e prenotate!💥
