A quick but delicious lunch. A simple and welcoming place with a pizza oven and plenty of Matera bread on display. We had the fava bean and chicory cream and the pignatella...exceptional! The lamb was incredibly tender and had a unique flavor with the vegetables and caciocavallo cheese. No. 1. Average prices and quick service with friendly staff.

The courtesy and quality of the dishes served are the strong points of this place. Try the pignata with mutton, truly excellent.

This isn't the first time I've dined at this restaurant, especially if I'm afterward taking a stroll downtown. The location is enviable, just steps from the pedestrian area of ​​the center and close to the Sassi; it's also very close to the municipal parking lot where you can leave your car in the heart of Matera. The restaurant is welcoming and well-decorated. It's large enough, with plenty of tables spaced far enough apart to allow the staff to serve and move around easily. The menu is full of Lucanian dishes, especially the pignatella, served in a bowl covered with oven-baked bread and stuffed with vegetables, crumbled sausage, and lamb. Service is fairly quick, with little time between ordering and serving. The prices are truly competitive, and the overall quality is satisfactory. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone reading this.

Just steps from the pedestrian area and the Piazzetta Pascoli viewpoint, this restaurant offers traditional Lucanian dishes with a touch of innovation. Try the Paccheri alla Lucana. The quality of the meat is also excellent. Overall, excellent value.

VERY GOOD We've been in Matera for three days, and this is the place that has satisfied us the most. Everything was excellent, from the appetizer, with a mix of cheeses and pancotto, to the first course, with paccheri alla lucana, to the second course, with pignata, which is truly excellent. Highly recommended!

Excellent dinner! We had to try the pignata! The cheese appetizer was also tasty and plentiful. We also tried the pignata pizza, which was also good. Very reasonable prices, with water, wine, and tarallucci, we spent €60 for two.

We arrived without a reservation, but we thank all the staff for their kindness and friendliness. We had fabulous appetizers and sublime first courses. Thanks again...
