We had lunch at this restaurant and had a great time. The place is very nice and quiet. The food is excellent. The staff was kind, helpful and attentive to every detail. Absolutely recommended!

We found this wonderful restaurant on our visit to Volterra, thanks to ChatGPT.
It's a family business with completely homemade food and excellent service, even in Spanish.
We ordered giant spaghetti with wild boar and pasta with mushrooms and sausage: all the pasta is homemade and with spectacular flavors. We ordered a quarter-liter jar of the house red wine, which was delicious. The pity was that my wife couldn't try it, as she is four months pregnant.
We were very excited to order tiramisu, but only got a café fredo. In total, we paid €39 for two people.
A place to return to and recommend!!

We were there in the early evening (around 7 p.m.).
We found a spot on the rather small terrace (6 tables).
The food was excellent. We had wild boar and beef goulash. Bruschetta to start with, followed by tiramisu.
The staff was attentive without being intrusive.
Highly recommended!
As was a digestive stroll through the (almost) deserted Volterra afterward.

From the outside it may seem very small but inside there is actually a nice and refrigerated room (especially after today's heat).
Service always attentive, smiling and helpful. Reasonable price. But let's get to what everyone wants to know... How do you eat? Good!!! The residents certainly already know it but you tourists must go there. If you are in doubt about which first course to have I will tell you. You can only choose the pici with wild boar. The best I have ever eaten in my life. I recommend you go there!!!

Este lugar fue un poco una sorpresa como nos presentó nuestro conductor que nos lleva de
Pisa a Siena y en su lugar, terminamos teniendo un gran almuerzo aquí y nos pareció una de las mejores experiencias gastronómicas durante un viaje de 10 días a la Toscana.
Toda la familia trabaja junta para crear una deliciosa experiencia gastronómica toscana. Incluso los platos que hemos probado en otros lugares sabían mejor aquí: todo se hizo desde cero.
Sorprendentemente, el propietario es un ex piloto profesional de motocicletas. Sus fotos y medallas son visibles en las paredes.
Pero más allá de eso estaba la gran comida. Un plato increíble incluía su salsa de jabalí que había estado cocinando a fuego lento todo el día y servido en pasta casera. Mi hija lo declaró la mejor comida que ha tenido.
Cada uno de nosotros probamos algo diferente, comenzando con una tabla de charcutería y moviéndonos a través de pastas, carnes, quesos y otros alimentos locales de la Toscana. El vino, uno pedido, se servía en una botella grande de uno o 2 litros vs una botella. Resultó ser muy bueno. Y era muy barato al igual que los platos.
Incluso el postre fue excepcional.
Terminamos divirtiéndonos tanto en el almuerzo y paseando por Volterra (donde se encuentra el restaurante) que nunca llegamos a nuestras otras paradas planeadas.
Pero no importaba: esta era la experiencia toscana que habíamos estado buscando: buena comida en un restaurante con los pies en la tierra en un pequeño pueblo con una historia profunda.
