The food was excellent: the sauce boards with toasted bread, cold cuts, and cheeses, and the pasta with wild boar stew in sauce. The beer was cold and the waiters were friendly and helpful. The chef was excellent!

Today for lunch I ordered pici all'aglione for a hair I sent it back. I asked for a type of pasta with wild boar, I wasn't convinced by the color of the dish what I discovered was that they had foisted on me the plate sent back with wild boar sauce added I left everything and told them my negative thought thank goodness they didn't make me pay

We went there because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, we didn't think the food was that top-notch. We both had the homemade spaghetti in wild boar sauce. The meat was okay on one plate, but on the other, not a single piece was without tendons and thus inedible. We didn't like the seasoning either, and everything was a bit low in salt. For dessert, we had tiramisu. It was really okay, but not the amazing thing we had expected based on the reviews. Maybe we were just unlucky with the selection. The service was friendly, and we liked the ambiance.

The food is simply delicious. The dishes are generous! Like eating at your grandmother's house! The owner is a very friendly guy. The food takes a while to come out because the pasta is freshly made, but it's worth it. I recommend a starter and a main course to share if you want to be able to eat dessert. In our case, we ordered a starter of bread with dips and a pasta dish each (there were two of us), and it was impossible to even get to dessert.

Osteria della Pace is much more than a restaurant: it is an authentic corner of Tuscany, where you can breathe the atmosphere of home.

Questa è l'osteria che volevo.
Accolti dal proprietario, Geppo, allo stesso modo esuberante e professionale, con la sua magnifica famiglia.
Abbiamo mangiato al tavolino nella cisterna, angolino riservato risalente al 1400, consigliati dall'oste, crostini misti e bruschetta al cavolo nero, pici al ragù di cinghiale, tegamaccio degli etruschi (un ottimo stracotto di manzo con prugne e zafferano, direttamente dal ricettario del cuoco di Caterina de Medici), cantucci con vin santo per concludere. Una generosa porzione di ogni portata da dividere in 2.
Tutto ottimo, cibo, ospitalità, location. Che dire...andateci, davvero.

Che dire? assolutamente TOP! ottima qualità del cibo, simpatia e gentilezza! Ottimi i pici ottimi i crostini misti (quelli col cavolo nero e l'acciuga da mangiarne un vagone) ottima la ribollita il cinghiale in dolceforte da provare! ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo! se siete a Volterra prenotate ne vale la pena!
