I still have to go there but I'll give it 5 stars in the dark...

Osteria Il Tabacchio – hidden in the heart of the Nebrodi Mountains, just 50 km from Mount Etna. A two-lane road winds its way up from Capo d'Orlando.
It seems endless until you finally see the sign on the left. Osteria Tabacchio had been on my wish list for ages. Cars and motorcycles were parked out front, and the stairs led down.
The large wood-fired grill stood in front of the dining room. The aroma of grilled meat was already noticeable on the street. Thursday midday, almost 2:30 pm.
It's an authentic, genuine Sicilian experience: an osteria like they used to be, and thankfully still are.
Today's menu included homemade maccheroni with a sugo made from black saddleback pork from the Nebrodi and salsiccia, followed by castrato lamb with a green salad. Water, red wine, and then an espresso. It was the best castrato I'd had in Sicily, without a doubt.
The intense flavor came solely from the grilled castrato (lamb castrated in its first months), which is darker and more intense. The dishes are listed verbally at the table. The selection is truly extensive, ranging from antipasti and several primi to various secondo.
Wine is served by the carafe. The trip is worthwhile, but reservations are essential on weekends.

The food was very good, the lamb with potatoes was amazing, but the prices aren't what they used to be: the appetizer for two was very varied and not particularly generous in portions, a first course shared between two, a grilled dish, a lamb with potatoes, ½ liter of house wine, and coffee, €75 in total...not exactly cheap. The quality of the food makes up for it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A leap back in time to discover true flavors
If you're looking for authentic Sicilian cuisine, Osteria Tabacchino in Sinagra is a must-see. It's one of those rare family-run restaurants that exudes history and passion, a place like no other.
What we loved:
Appetizers and Preserves: Incredible. You can taste the artisanal touch in every bite; the homemade preserves are the perfect way to start your culinary journey.
First Courses: The macaroni with pork sauce is simply divine, a rich dish that tastes like home.
Second Courses: The meat is top-quality. The roast kid/lamb with potatoes is tender and flavorful, and the grilled meat is cooked to perfection.
Helpful Tips:
The restaurant is historic and much-loved, so reservations are highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
In short: an exceptional experience, generous portions, and a welcome that makes you feel part of the family. A well-deserved five stars!

A small, immense restaurant in a charming setting. Excellent food, from the appetizers to the fruit. The goat was spectacular.
