This place is a must have on your list of fine dining in Umbria. When you walk in you are greeted in the atmosphere of the country kitchen. They have an outstanding collection of wine etc…The big night starts with a selection of cheeses and meats. The pasta features tartufo/truffles in a masterful presentation. The steak was perfectly cooked to order, tender and delicious!

Exceptional lunch, typical flavors and excellent wine. We are still dreaming of the Sagrantino gnocchi, and the dessert was also excellent, we had a cheesecake with Sagrantino pears. The competence of the staff was also greatly appreciated, as they showed us every single ingredient on the cutting board, all of which can then be purchased at their delicatessen. Very nice and quiet place, they also accept dogs: highly recommended!

Abbiamo cenato nella veranda esterna, in una piacevole sera d'estate, ma devo dire che mi ha colpito moltissimo lo spazio interno dell'Osteria, davvero benissimo arredata.
Il menù non mi ha colpito particolarmente: ho trovato appena sufficiente la parmigiana di melanzane, anonima la tagliata e discreto il tiramisù. Buoni i vini che abbiamo selezionato, anche se diverse etichette presenti sulla carta non erano disponibili. Prezzi alti, giustificabili solo con dei piatti ed un servizio eccezionali (58 euro a testa per antipasto, primo o secondo, dolce e due bottiglie di vino in totale per 8 persone).
Ci sono sicuramente delle potenzialità ma adesso non ci tornerei.

Sotto consiglio di gente del posto siamo andati a cena per assaggiare vino locale e mangiare della carne e siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti. Non saremmo più andati via grazie alla gentilezza del ragazzo che ci ha servito e l’atmosfera che si respira nel ristorante. Speriamo di tornare.

Osteria il Sagrantino in Umbria, Italy, is an absolute gem!
Their cured meats are incredible—each bite is packed with rich, savory flavors. The cheeses are just as amazing, offering a perfect balance to the meats. But the real highlight is the wild boar. It's cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with delicious, rustic flavors.
Pair all this with their fantastic wine selection, and you've got an unforgettable meal. We opted to get get different local wines by the glass as opposed to a bottle, and very happy we have done so. Osteria il Sagrantino is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian food.

Quick and friendly service, the atmosphere is nice and convivial. The meat is excellent and the cellar is well stocked. At the entrance you are hit by an impressive number of bottles of wine. We will be back.
