The place is quite cozy (the owner told us that they can seat a maximum of 30 people) and furnished in a very simple way. however, the tables are well spaced and the atmosphere is relaxed with background music kept at a non-invasive volume. the table setting is minimal, paper placemat as well as napkins. the menu is inspired by the tradition of Romagna cuisine but with some reinterpretations/contaminations. Various proposals for both first and second courses that vary depending on the season. The mixed starter is highly recommended and includes porcini crostini, shredded rabbit, pumpkin pie on parmesan cream, creamed cod, stewed beans and a sort of aubergine pâté: all excellent. We opted for the sweets as a first course, good but not exceptional. The kid and the pork shoulder/shank were very good. In my opinion the diaphragm steak was a little overcooked, but still good. The pistachio cake with mascarpone and white chocolate is excellent. Wine list limited to two/three Romagna producers, with more than honest mark-ups. taking into account that the portions are extremely generous, the prices are relatively moderate.

We had dinner with hot and cold appetizers, risotto with excellent fish, gratin main courses, at a good price, kindness and friendliness.

The place isn't the prettiest, but the food is super!!! The quality of the products is excellent and the menu can surprise you with options that stand out beyond tradition. Try it and you won't regret it!

Grande esperienza, ho ritrovato lo storico titolare del melograno di forlimpopoli, moreno, locale carino all'interno, molto bello fuori, era freschino, siamo stati dentro. Accolti col sorriso, subito acqua e ciccioli caldi con piadina fritta, poi, dopo 30 anni, ho riassaggiato le mitiche caramelle, piatto storico, poi un ottimo castrato con gran sapore e patate buone, di solito non mi capita, vino in bottiglia, piccolo consiglio a moreno, procurati dello sfuso così non ti fai rompere le balle da qualcuno, il mio amico caramelle, boneeee, di secondo crostini e dintorni, molto buoni e particolari, la sua morosa guancia di maiale, lei è una cuoca fantastica e ha detto che era buonissima, mia moglie tagliatelle con ragù di mora, quelle sono il vero esame, ottime, una bottiglia di vino, tre di acqua, un dolce in 4 perché eravamo sazi, zabaione di irene, spettacolare, tre caffè, porzioni nella norma se non generose, 114 €, conto onestissimo, poi tante chiacchere con moreno perché abbiamo scoperto di avere tanti amici in comune, non saremmo mai andati via, loro dovevano mangiare, sono riuscito a complimentarmi con la cuoca, sua moglie, noi torneremo di sicuro e mi spiace quando leggo di esperienze negative, non capisco come sia possibile, non sono il boss di master chef, cucino e ho anni di esperienza nei locali, io lo consiglio ma consiglio soprattutto di andare nei locali con un sorriso, si sta meglio, grazie moreno per la simpatia e la cucina, a presto
