Osteria i macelli In Borgo a mozzano

I’ve been here several times in the past couple of decades but first time since 2017 I could come back and again it was amazing. I’m gluten free and they made the most delicious truffle risotto fresh and perfect. It’s more about the atmosphere and better if you can eat all the gluten but still I’m glad to come back. Nice people and perfect Tuscan cuisine.

The dishes are also excellent to look at, the service is excellent and the interior of the restaurant is intimate.

Pasta and meet was good, starters were also good BUT… you will probably need to fined somewhere else to eat dessert cause we ordered 3 of these and they all killed the experience: )

It wasn't the first time; we've been there before, but years ago, and it had already left us with so many wonderful memories. Then life... The atmosphere has changed slightly, the service is as usual—kind, friendly, and attentive—and the food is always top-notch. We chose a carpaccio with porcini mushrooms, crostini with Garfagnana trout, braised beef with Montepulciano, said to be from 2014, and a tagliata al lardo, all with side dishes, but we also ordered the fried porcini mushrooms. Everything was beautiful and delicious; the braised beef was spectacular. I think they have everything, in fact, we took longer to choose the wine 🤪 the mushrooms were really good, fragrant, and beautiful to look at. We'd love to go back, as we've left something else to try. We never order dessert. The coffee was good too—they don't like it in Garfagnana, but it's not easy to find good coffee in those parts, at least not in our opinion. This restaurant is definitely worth a trip.

Amazing Tuscan meal, we ate "la Fiorentina", tartare, funghi porcini, veggies, and had fine wine. One of the best sposts I've tried yet.
