We had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Hortus in Castellabate. Owner/Chef Costabile Guariglia proved to be not only a hospitable person but a true artist in every sense (he teaches art in Rome). His artistic experience shines through not only in the restaurant, but especially in his cuisine. His dishes are never banal, but creative yet substantial, using only the finest ingredients and what the market offers at the time. It was a wonderful discovery and an excellent experience...from every point of view...we hope to be able to repeat it in the future. Thank you 👏

07/01/2026: A bit far to get to, at least for me, since I'm from upper Irpinia, but it's worth it. The place isn't very big, I think it can seat up to 50 people inside, and I think 30 outside. The food is all delicious, made with top-quality ingredients, all strictly local and home-grown. The two young waitresses who served were always smiling and helpful. The outdoor parking area isn't large, but it's adequate. I highly recommend this agriturismo.
29/12/2025: Simple, authentic, and traditional cuisine, clean atmosphere. It's a shame we caught a baptism and it was a bit crowded, but overall we had a good time.
