Osteria Don Maccarone In Napoli

A quaint osteria on the Chiaia steps. Limited seating, both inside and out. Excellent food, friendly service, and very reasonable prices. We had lunch for two, including a first course, second course, side dish, wine, water, and dessert, for €63. Highly recommended.

Delicious gnocchi, super-delicious Neapolitan macaroni, and excellent service.

We found it by chance. We were looking for a restaurant to eat at before returning to grab our luggage and heading to the airport. The food was very good, as was the service. Out of courtesy, they offered us a homemade limoncello: delicious.

We tried both the trattoria's menu and the pizza at Nennella, next door, as they're sister restaurants. It's really convenient! Everything was delicious, and the staff was fantastic; we felt right at home.

We had two really good meals here in a row! They serve simple, freshly prepared regional dishes. The service is friendly, and they give you helpful advice if you need it. It was wonderful, Grazie!

I found this place based on Google reviews and it did not disappoint. Cute and cozy atmosphere with amazing food. The service was fantastic. Get the bruschetta! And the gnocchi! And really anything else they recommend.

Dissapointing visit for an apparently well rated restaurant. We arrived early,around 7:15, after a very busy day. No one else there. Asked to sit inside were told no. So we turned to leave as we just didn't want to side in cycle fumes. They quickly decided it was OK. But went from bad to worse. Never in Italy have we been so obviously ranked as a tourist! We were "fed and watered" as quickly and briskly as possible while locals and valued clients were treated with respect and joy. The food suggestions were good although they never passed by the primi section-perhaps tourists always eat pasta? Anyway the waitress threw us a bill immediately after our plates were empty. But we wanted dolce. She yelled the 2 choices. We made 1. Got that and a new bill. But how about limoncello? Well we got that and a new bill. Didn't dare ask about espresso. Paid it and left.

Good food at a fair price! Delicious dumplings and gnocchi, with plenty of sauce and cheese.
