We returned after many years, better than other more praised places, good food, excellent fish, very friendly

It's a shame I can't give it more stars because it truly exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The raw seafood was truly the best I've ever tasted. The scampi are highly recommended, as are the octopus and tagliatelle. Then for starters, I had a shellfish soup with gluten-free bread, and my boyfriend had mussel spaghetti. Both were perfect. To finish, the dessert (wafer) was magnificent, and the coffee was delicious. What can I say? Nothing wrong with that. The owners, waiters, and chef were all super kind and courteous. The restaurant was elegant and welcoming. And to top it off, we're perfectly located in the center of Polignano. Highly recommended! I can't wait to go back.

The interior and atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. Some of the dishes are fantastic (scallops au gratin, lobster with pasta) while others are average (grilled lobster was overcooked and fillet steak was under-seasoned.) Staff were very variable. One of the senior waitstaff (a woman) was wonderful: friendly and professional. Some of the male staff very very brusque and rude. For example, in asking for a snide or a fork, they would dismiss you with a sneering wave of the hand and the request was never actioned. I asked for the bill from 5 different people, 4 of whom nodded in an annoyed manner and never brought the bill. It was the wonderful female staff member who again actioned the request after I waited 30-40 minutes for the bill from the other staff. It was my wife’s 50th birthday so I was a bit disappointed with the experience as the wonderful female staff organised a cake for me beforehand but I could not get the male waiters to bring it. I wanted almost 30 minutes for that to be actioned so the moment was a little spoilt. If the service was better and food was more consistent, I would definitely recommend. The seafood is fresh. But given the prices and the experience I described, I’m not so sure.

Excellent cuisine. Very fresh fish. Service as it should be (portions distributed in front of the customer). Very high level of professionalism. Personal opinion.... I highly recommend. Excellent staff management and a very pleasant atmosphere.

We had a divine dinner. The quality of the dishes offered, along with the professionalism of the staff, are particularly noteworthy. The location, the attention to detail, and the excellent flavors are excellent. This restaurant is definitely worth recommending! ANTO AND MAX

A vibrant and fragrant evening at Chichibio, a restaurant where seafood cuisine is presented with elegance and excellent ingredients. The place was very crowded (a sign that the food here is truly excellent), but the service was always courteous and attentive. We started with a Spanish bluefin tuna tartare: full-bodied flavor, perfectly cut, served with a delicacy that brought out every marine note. Next, a highly original seafood parmigiana—surprising! A play on textures of eggplant, mussels, seafood, and Mediterranean flavors. The dish that truly won us over was the tubettino with mussels and yellow datterino tomatoes in wine: perfect creaminess, sweet cherry tomatoes, a balance of sea and sun in every bite. We accompanied our dinner with a glass of crisp, fragrant white wine, perfectly in keeping with the cuisine. A place I recommend to those who love authentic seafood, creative yet traditional cuisine, and a lively atmosphere. Worth returning, perhaps at a quieter time… but the taste remains.

Ristorante nella affollata piazza con la statua dì Modugno. Ampia proposta di piatti di pesce con la possibilità di scegliere dal banco. Promossi a pieni voti gli antipasti, sia i crudi che la capesante gratinate. Giusto sufficienti gli spaghettoni ai ricci di mare. Buono il dentice al sale. Servizio veloce. Prezzi alti.

Tra le eleganti volte dell’Osteria di Chichibio, nel pittoresco centro storico di Polignano, a pochi passi dalla Statua di Modugno, il tempo si ferma, tra eleganza, raffinatezza e buon gusto, in una esperienza memorabile di prelibatezze di mare, accompagnate da pregiate etichette, con un’accoglienza in pieno stile pugliese e tanta voglia di ritornare e di replicare l’esperienza! Consigliato a tutti coloro che amano il buon cibo e coltivano lo spirito di bellezza… a suon di bollicine!
