We ate on Sunday for lunch, welcoming place, friendly and very efficient waiters, excellent food, you can feel it being homemade. I also love warm environments! Highly recommended!

Homemade, chaotic, fun and convivial lunch. In short, Osteria atmosphere! Very good starter, first courses a little too salty but still pleasant. In the photo saffron risotto with ossobuco, single portion but easily enough for two, to avoid waste it is advisable to think carefully about what you order!

Hospitality and courtesy certainly distinguish this delightful little place near the covered bridge in Pavia. The place is very nice, very characteristic of a tavern, very well furnished. The food was really plentiful and also very good as was the excellent value for money! If you are around Pavia I recommend you definitely try this place!

Simple and easy-going tavern where quality and abundance of dishes find the right union. I've wanted to try Povero Lele for a long time and I can finally say that I had a very satisfying experience. We had some salami while waiting for the first courses, truly delicious, then Bonarda risotto and sausage, a great classic of Pavia cuisine, cooked here with great talent, the dish that certainly won the evening. Finally, we shared some very tender roast beef and had a dessert, the latter being the only sore point of the evening, I found the tiramisu rather dull in flavour. The service was fast and very kind. Price more than honest, you leave with a full belly and you spend little. I highly recommend it!

Appena fuori dal centro storico, comodo da raggiungere. Accoglienti all'entrata, affabili e disponibili. I piatti che che abbiamo richiesto hanno soddisfatto pienamente le nostre aspettative. Buoni e gustosi. Hanno verificato più volte al tavolo le nostre esigenze, senza dovere essere noi a chiamare. il locale è pulito e ben riscaldato. I prezzi più che soddisfacenti e giustificati dall'abbondanza. Esperienza che ripeterò se dovessi ritornare a Pavia.

The experience in this osteria was formidable. Staff members have been so friendly! We accidentally spilled the tray of cured meats on the floor because we didn't realise that it had been placed balanced on the edge of the table and without making us feel guilty or embarrassed (even if we already were) they cleaned it up and brought a new tray. This was a truly kind gesture that I will always remember. We ordered a mixed starter which was super abundant and delicious (with cured meats, gnocco fritto, rice, pickles, etc.), then gorgonzola gnocchi (very tasty) and a fantastic huge one kilo Irish tomahwok steak (simply perfect!). We struggled to finish those large portions but it worth it. I highly recommend this place because the food is phenomenal, the prices are honest and staff members are very professional and kind. L’esperienza in questa osteria è stata formidabile. Membri dello staff super gentili! Per sbaglio abbiamo rovesciato il vassoio dei salumi sul pavimento perché non c’eravamo accorti che era stato appoggiato in bilico sul bordo del tavolo e senza farci sentire in colpa o imbarazzati (anche se lo eravamo già) hanno ripulito e portato un nuovo vassoio. Questo è stato un gesto veramente gentile che ricorderò sempre. Abbiamo preso un antipasto misto che era super abbondante e buonissimo (con salumi, gnocco fritto, riso, sottaceti, ecc), poi gnocchi al gorgonzola (buonissimi anche quelli) e una formidabile enorme bistecca tomahwok irlandese da un kilo (veramente deliziosa). Abbiamo faticato a finire quelle grandi porzioni ma ne è valsa la pena. Raccomando questa osteria a tutti perché il cibo è di alta qualità, i prezzi onesti e i membri dello staff veramente professionali e gentili!
