We were guests of the restaurant for lunch together with a couple of friends. We had a good time but above all at home with attentive service and truly excellent traditional dishes. If you are in town you won't regret it

Excellent food.. great choice of meat.. The place is very nice.. especially the top floor. Be careful of the stairs

Nothing to complain about. The place is unique, a medieval ravelin. The staff are very kind, courteous and friendly. Excellent food (unfortunately I don't have photos) but the cappellacci with sausage and porcini mushrooms are stratospheric as are the potato tortelli with truffles. An excellent and plentiful suckling pig as is the Asado. Abundant dishes. Optimal! Well done.

Location curata e caratteristica, cibo abbastanza buono: tagliere misto come antipasto ottimo, garganelli scalogno e speck davvero speciali, gli altri due primi (in foto) non il massimo per i miei gusti, soprattutto l’impasto dei tortelloni non mi ha convinto. Dolci nella media, sorbetto mandarino e pompelmo buonissimo. Il prezzo nella media, forse leggermente alto. Personale e servizio cortese e professionale.

We had dinner in this place and everything was to our liking, from the first courses to the meat in particular. Whoever served us was very friendly and helpful. The only negative thing was the ambient temperature, which for me was cold, I would have liked it a little warmer.

Nonostante fossimo nel pieno delle Festività Natalizie abbiamo voluto concederci una pausa per visitare l'interessante e attraente cittadina di Imola. A pranzo ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante ed è stata una mossa che si è subito rivelata vincente. Innanzitutto siamo in un locale ricavato da un bastione che sorreggeva una delle porte di ingresso nella città. Pertanto l'ambiente è riconducibile all'epoca medioevale. Il menù presenta una scelta ampia per tutti i palati. Indimenticabile le tagliatelle al tartufo e soprattutto la carne, il così detto menù condivisione che presenta diversi tagli di carne alla brace. Ottima la carta dei vini. Il personale è cortesissimo e attento alle esigenze della clientela. Un locale davvero speciale in questa bella cittadina. Accolgono volentieri gli amici a 4 zampe. E' assolutamente consigliato di ritornarci o di andarlo a provare per la prima volta.

Excellent dishes, excellent local wines and top service.

My husband and I visited this place located in a tower in the center of Imola. The location is beautiful, but it could be more tidy and better furnished. Wines, even quality ones, are left in the room without adequate temperature control. The heating air is very dry, as the splits are poorly placed and a shovel always works, blowing air towards the tables and drying our eyes. We asked the waitress to sit near the window, but we were denied because the table was for four, even though the room was practically empty and it was already late. The menu did not list Florentine steaks, ribs and tomowoks as grilled meat; we only managed to find out by asking the waitress. They served me a cracked dish, in the end I had to ask the waitress for it to be changed. You should pay more attention to these things, like cleaning the glasses too. The food was very good, as were the meat and the wine. When we were served the tomowok it was initially not cut; only at our request was it possible for us to receive it in portions, I don't see a service like this as normal. The lady waitress was in her own world. In the end, we found it to be good value for money and had a pleasant evening.
