This ancient Bolognese tavern, once a post station in the late 19th century, retains all its historic charm, thanks in part to the precious collections of objects displayed throughout the rooms. The atmosphere is a truly captivating journey back in time. The menu, rich in fresh pasta and succulent Bolognese delicacies, is also very interesting. The cotoletta petroniana is a must-try: the best!!!

Beautiful, but I need to reconsider my manners. The atmosphere is wonderful: you're immersed in the wine bar, surrounded by objects from the past, like old signs and payphones. The Petroniana was a bit small, but it tasted good. The tagliatelle with meat sauce was good. I'm 47, and the 25-30-year-old waiter who addresses me informally makes me feel young, and that's understandable. However, the young employees address people in their 60s and 65s informally...I find this disrespectful and rude! What a shame!

Characteristic atmosphere, correct and good level of service, not so much for the courses especially the second courses: self-service presentation, poor quantity and of dubious taste, good artichokes on the side, but half of them were burnt

We discovered this place by chance while we were traveling. The decor is unique, welcoming, and spread across two floors. The food was all good and very flavorful. We ordered the passatelli with radicchio and guanciale and the cotoletta alla Petroniana. What struck us most was the young man who served us (Mattia, I think) and the quality of his service: fast, kind, and friendly, but not intrusive. He explained the dishes well, adding a few amusing anecdotes. The kind of service that makes all the difference and keeps you coming back! Unfortunately, I'm far away, but I recommend it to everyone 😊

Trattoria L'Angiolino

17/02/2026: After being there years ago, I didn't have the chance to go back for about ten years. It was a good experience then, and even better after returning. It's not exactly a trattoria, more of a restaurant. Prices are average, but you still leave full. The cuisine features both traditional and more sophisticated elements, but everything is excellent, starting with the welcome offering of mortadella and capon meatballs. Fassona beef tartare, Jewish-style artichokes, crepes, and Brunello di Montalcino risotto—all spectacular, beautifully presented. The portions aren't truck-sized, but they're just right, and the desserts are excellent too. The menu changes about monthly, but it's always consistently top-notch. It's also nice to chat with the chef. They have a decent wine cellar, but I have to say the house red, Sangiovese, was still very good (I don't know if that was luck). The bill: for two, two first courses, two appetizers, two desserts, water, wine, total €90—well-deserved, and perhaps not even that much considering the quality.
14/02/2026: A truly sensory experience where the pleasure of taste exceeded every expectation. The dishes were beautiful to look at, the service excellent, and 5 stars for the chef, who is truly one of a kind.

16/05/2026: If you're passing through Castel San Pietro Terme, on the Via Emilia, be sure to have lunch here: the food is heavenly! It's a bit of an unusual location, being located on the grounds of a gas station and car wash, but I can assure you the chef is on par with even the most celebrated pan artists. Emilian cuisine at its finest. I had crescentine with cured meats, passatelli, and waffles with gelato and black cherries. Everything was delicious; the crescentine were fried to perfection, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was clean, the staff were courteous and extremely helpful, and the service excellent. I'll definitely be back.
