The gnocco fritto is out of this world: light and crispy. But the real plus of this place is the staff. The waiters are exceptionally kind, always smiling and super helpful. You immediately feel at home. Plus, if you buy cakes or pastries on Milan's Navigli area, they'll even let you store them in the fridge for the duration of your meal.

I wonder how it's possible to serve fried gnocchi these days, which are excellent, but not light, with only cheese and cold cuts. Dinner becomes very heavy. The house desserts, in my opinion, aren't worth €8 each. I'm talking about tiramisu and sorbets.

A pork platter, a cheese platter, and fried gnocco with sbrisolona (a kind of cake) soaked in grappa complete a delicious lunch in a charming setting. A special mention goes to the waiters, especially the "Tuscan guy," whose expertise, knowledge of languages, friendliness, and camaraderie help make a meal here a special experience, for locals and non-locals alike. The food was truly delicious, served by attentive and friendly staff. The fried gnocco needs no comment, the cured meats were excellent, the tagliolini with wild boar sauce was truly excellent, as were the desserts. When they heard it was my son's birthday, they brought him a cake with a lit candle, accompanied by a lovely chorus of happy birthday greetings. Well done everyone.
