I went there for lunch today for the first time, the place was very welcoming, the service was equally pleasant and kind, the food was wonderful and the price was more than fair... the owner was a very nice person.

I've tried so many restaurants around Italy. I've been to Dal Gallo e la Volpe three times in the last few years, and it remains one of my favorites. Authentic flavors. Excellent value, perfect service, and a lovely location. Excellent wine selection.

09/02/2026: During a day trip, we had lunch at the trattoria "Matullo" in Melito Irpino, which offers excellent cuisine and fast, attentive service. The house antipasto was exquisite, rich in ingredients and generous in choice. Among the first courses, the fusilli stood out for their deliciousness, both pan-fried and topped with speck and zucchini, always in generous portions. The deconstructed Sicilian cannoli were also delicious, creamy and delicate. The bill was absolutely low considering how good we ate.
