€50 for a dinner for two with wine pairing. You think this story is a fabrication? I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. Osteria del Gallo conjures up what you've already eaten while wearing shoulder pads, teasing your hair, and swaying along to "Vamos a la Playa." And the craziest of all, it all seems to cost the same. Inflation has simply been outsmarted. And not only has time stood still there, but also in the decor. The restaurant looks exactly how you would paint an Italian restaurant, if you could paint. The menu continues in the same traditional vein. There are a handful of dishes that Nonna would have served. Without a lot of frills or magic candles, but prepared with love and according to old recipes. With such a strictly curated selection, you might as well try everything at once, because everything will bring a "Mama Mia" to your lips. The whole experience is rounded off with a half-liter of house rosso or bianco wine from the carafe. With all this magic, it's essential to make a reservation a few days in advance, otherwise you'll be one of the countless people who are put off daily.

Walking through Como, we decided to eat at this place, and it was definitely a good choice. It's a small place where locals eat, and every day they have a different menu based on what's in season. Homemade food, exquisite service. Don't forget to try the tiramisu. Highly recommended.

The place is very nice, but the food isn't. I had a cookie with polenta, and it really wasn't tasty.

We traveled from Canada to Lake Como, Italy and picked this local restaurant to enjoy local cuisine. We were blown away by the amazing atmosphere, cuisine and staff. We were blessed to meet the owners and staff of this boutique restaurant. They are such a tight knit family where they even dine together. Don’t miss this gem !!!

Old-fashioned tavern, excellent food and a perfect welcome

We really enjoyed eating here. Homemade food, a different menu every day, and a family atmosphere. We managed to get a table without a reservation, but it was full. I recommend making a reservation.
