Osteria del Filosso In Correggio

We spent the night in the pretty town of Correggio and were looking for a restaurant for dinner. By chance, we stumbled upon the Osteria del Filosso. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a pleasant and warm atmosphere. The ham, salami, and Parmesan cheese hanging above the counter are mouth-watering. We had a typical regional appetizer plate of Parma ham, salami, and Parmesan. All of it was top-quality. Particularly noteworthy were the small, warm Parmesan rolls served with it. We then had a pasta dish made with homemade pasta, and for the main course, lamb chops. They were the best we've ever eaten. Tender and beautifully cooked. Unfortunately, after the third course, we only had room for a small dessert. The panacotta al limone was divine. As was the nut biscuit with zabaglione cream. The service was very professional and friendly, and English was spoken very well. This restaurant deserves every point of our rating. This restaurant alone is worth a visit to Correggio.

A lovely restaurant in Correggio, a charming little town. We chose this place because it offers a selection of local flavors. Tortellini and ravioli are superb, the main courses also live up to expectations, and the desserts are incredible. The service was spotless; having ordered two glasses of wine, it would have been nice to have the wine poured from the bottle at the table. It's also worth asking about the doneness of the meat. A pleasant place, and a decent value. Recommended.

Evening with my wife. A refined atmosphere in the center of Correggio, almost a quick stop at the theater. Very good food: not the usual local fare, but with some welcome twists. Fast and attentive service, from young, enthusiastic staff. I'll definitely be back.

Always a confirmation. I hadn't been here in many years, but today, just like then, I had a great time. The place is very small but cute, the food is very good and high-quality. Service is quick and friendly, and prices are average.

This restaurant, located in the heart of Correggio, was discovered by chance while exiting the highway for a stop during a road trip. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is very friendly and hospitable. The dishes we tried were well-prepared with quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the cappellacci with mortadella and pistachios. The restaurant has a wide selection of fine wines. The prices are in line with local restaurants.

Had lunch today. From the menu, bigoli with rabbit ragù and vegetables (9/10), a ravioli filled with guinea fowl with roasted corn sauce and braised guinea fowl. The sauce was 10/10, the guinea fowl filling 5/10, not bad at all, but a bit "tasteless." Finished with a few pieces of fried gnocco (7/10) and a platter of cold cuts (pancetta 10/10, prosciutto 6/10, and salami a bit too industrial). The wine selection was nothing special, but satisfactory. Location 9/10. Service 10/10. Price 6/10. Overall 7/10.
