Osteria del Caroseno In Castellana grotte

Siamo tornati al Caroseno dopo 11 anni e abbiamo fatto bene. Location molto bella, servizio attento e curato. Abbiamo preso piatti tipici come Fave e Cicoria come antipasto e Orecchiette come portata principale entrambi molto buoni. Ottimi anche il dolci. Rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono. Un must quando si è in zona!

Caldo ed accogliente il locale, di sobria eleganza la mise en place, puntuale e cordiale il servizio. Nulla da eccepire. Ma a stupire e a far venire voglia di ritornare è soprattutto quello che arriva a tavola: piatti che reinterpretano con intelligenza e leggerezza la tradizione, valorizzando prodotti del territorio (esempi: rivisitazioni della cosiddetta "acqua e sale" e del purè di fave con cicorie). Menzione speciale per risotto con rapa rossa, burrata e tartare di gamberi tra i primi ed il carpaccio (no tartare ma proprio carpaccio) di gamberi crudi. Ottimo è il rapporto prezzo qualità.

Everything was superlative, from the service to the friendliness and availability of the staff. Each dish has its own story, and the staff lovingly tells about each dish. A gem of Puglia!

Extremely suggestive location, we were literally in an alley in the city. The menu is full of dishes that I have never seen anywhere else. The three euros of freebies offered by the house were delicious, then we had an appetizer to share, 2 first courses and 2 desserts. The quality of each dish was very high, the staff was competent and friendly.

We had the best time, restaurant and bnb were just amazing. Food was delicious, generous and veggie friendly, Giovanni and the staff made us feel so welcome! Francesca was super reactive and kind and warm, breakfast was a delish. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely come back next time we’re in Puglia! Thanks again for everything. Xx
