Cena di Natale con i colleghi. Il locale ammicca ad un look and feel un po' demodè, in una terra di confine fra la Società di Mutuo Soccorso, il Circolo Arci e il Dopolavoro Ferroviario. La sala principale è piuttosto ampia e la sera della nostra cena - pur essendo in settimana - era affollata e parecchio rumorosa, con una acustica fastidiosa. L'illuminazione è un po' scarsa. L'ingresso del locale si affaccia su un marciapiede molto stretto e i gruppetti di avventori che si raccolgono sulla porta a chiacchierare ostacolano l'accesso e l'uscita. Servizio informale piuttosto cortese e volenteroso, adeguato allo stile del locale. Paccheri alla salsiccia discreti, coppa di maiale noci e prugne discreta ma arrivata appena tiepida. Tortino al cioccolato niente di speciale. Chi ha provato il dolce al bicchiere ha apprezzato le creme ma non il biscotto. Vino della casa non gradito. Quello nel bottiglione da litro e mezzo si riusciva ancora a mandare giù ma quello in caraffa proprio no. Tutto sommato la cena senza pretese in regime di "spending review" è stata gradevole, augurandoci affari migliori per il prossimo anno.

Beautiful place: atmosphere of a real 60s tavern, with a large room for eating and playing billiards. Excellent dinner with great choice for those, like me, looking for vegetarian alternatives. The chocolate cake is breathtaking. And, last but not least, the service: all young, professional, friendly guys. Perfect.

Outside, Via Cialdini and the "Cooperativa Semper Uniti" sign make you think of times gone by. The thought is confirmed when you enter and find yourself in a large (air-conditioned) room characterized by four or five billiard tables that offer a now lost atmosphere. The food is very good, the staff friendly and nice, the prices honest. I was there the other evening for the first time, but others will certainly follow. Very good, highly recommended place.

Insieme a mio figlio che vive ad Affori siamo andati a cena in questo originalissimo locale. Tempo sembra essersi fermato. Gli arredi, i quadri, i biliardi nella sala da bagno pranzo evocano tempi passati ma belli da ricordare. La cucina invece è molto attuale sebbene vengano proposti anche piatti legati alla tradizione. Personale giovane gentile e sorrdente. Prezzi onestissimi. Bello.
