Always new and innovative things in the restaurant business, the food is excellent, highly recommended, if you don't book in advance it's impossible to find a table

A mid-October Sunday stroll through the hills of Bologna.
At the recommendation of a couple of friends (M. & L.), we went for lunch at Osteria dei Sani, located in the historic center of Sasso Marconi, at Via Porrettana, 324.
It was a special Sunday in Sasso Marconi: not only is the restricted traffic zone (ZTL) preventing access to the historic center, but also the Pro Loco festival for the truffle and porcini mushroom festival, with many tourists and limited parking.
From the outside, aside from the window and sign, it doesn't give a clue as to what lies inside.
Osteria dei Sani is a characteristic restaurant on the Bolognese plateau that offers typical local cuisine, in keeping with the seasons. Traditional recipes from Emilia and Umbria blend together in a menu showcasing the finest regional delicacies.
So, accompanied by M., who knows the owner very well as a regular, and his wife, L., we met to sample some of the chef's dishes.
Every day, the chef offers truffle and mushroom specialties, tasty and succulent stewed and grilled meats, tigelle and crescentine in a whirlwind of delicate and intense flavors: well, that can only be said after you've eaten, but I can tell you in advance and guarantee it!
The atmosphere is welcoming and rustic, offering an authentic culinary experience, where a passion for good food combines with the conviviality typical of Italian osterias.
There aren't many seats, so it's best to book well in advance, which M. will obviously take care of, or else queue at the entrance and then trust that there's room, even if you wait up to an hour.
We entered at 1:30 PM and saw a small group of Bolognese people who arrived around 2:45 PM. Granted, it was Sunday, but reservations are highly recommended.
The owner's professionalism and experience, combined with his longtime friendship with M, ensured we had a wonderful lunch, choosing between the à la carte menu and the daily menu.
We ultimately chose two daily menus with tastings of appetizers, first courses, second courses, and dessert, in addition to two dishes from the à la carte menu.
All the dishes were exceptional (super) both visually and, above all, on the palate.
We opted for potato and mushroom flan in a cream of parmesan and truffle, black truffle risotto, potato ravioli with black truffle and a parmesan cream, rabbit stuffed with black truffle, pork fillet with porcini mushrooms and a side of fresh porcini mushrooms.
Excellent quality ingredients and well-prepared dishes, both the homemade pasta and the main courses. Prompt service with friendly and knowledgeable staff who guide guests through their meal selections.
A bottle of Bolognese red, four desserts, and four coffees with pistachio cream tastings.
Words cannot describe the deliciousness and deliciousness of the dishes and the fair prices.
Of course, it depends on the dishes and bottles of wine you choose, but the final bill can range between €30 and €45 per person.
Absolutely worth it!

I come to Bologna just to visit this restaurant🥰 If I could only eat at one place during my trip to Italy, it would be this one without hesitation. The tortellini is a must-try! But every menu item is so artistically delicious that I'll be really happy no matter what I chooseㅠㅠ❤️ And dessert is the best way to end the day👍
This was my third visit, and I will definitely be back again⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you for your kindness, see you again!

Osteria carinissima, ambiente accogliente e personale molto disponibile.
