Osteria dei Grifoni In Bologna

It was my last evening in Bologna when I stumbled upon this cozy place. I couldn’t wish for a better experience. Despite being all booked, the staff managed to find me a cute little table. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere in general felt very special.

On Saturday evening I went to the tavern. Excellent value for money. Very kind staff. I recommend it for anyone in the area.

The place has a great atmosphere, you are in a beautiful underground cellar. We didn't saw the menu, it was explained by the owner that was really cordial and friendly. The anti pasti were tasteful, they fondue of parmesan was amazing and the crostoni were also ful of flavour. They have forgotten what we order for primo and just after some minutes that asked us what was the order. From here the level goes down. We had the Ravioli di ricotta al gorgonzola, that were mild, nothing special and the Testaroli that were full of garlic, probably the dish is like that, but even for me that I love garlic it was too much. They didn't have a desert they had cantucci with amaro alle erbe. The amaro had a really intense flavour of mint, not for my taste but it's something personal. I would advise to have some options of desert, a simple mascarpone would make all the difference in my opinion.

We dined in a large group and the staff was very warm and friendly. They were available for every need. The food was delicious and very generous portions. We will absolutely be back.

The lovely owner will recommend and tell you about delicious home-made dishes and even share his life story. Very atmospheric place. Quiet, a bit out of the way.

Today I wanted to treat myself to both myself and my husband. I was born in Bologna and for me these little places deserve all the attention of a starred restaurant... perhaps more... because our Bologna is born here. We enjoyed a delicious tartare with hot bread, butter, mustard, onion and capers, followed by a trio of croutons with bacon, rocket and onion... The tagliatelle with mushrooms, rigorously served with spoon and fork, were spectacular, all seasoned with a discreet, rustic but very refined atmosphere.. Absolutely yes…everything

Best meal in Bologna. I recommend it in every respect: from the family atmosphere to the genuine service, through to the typical and tasty food! I hope to be able to return soon!

In questo locale ti sembra di essere in famiglia. Oltre ai piatti molto unti (e ovviamente saporitissimi) e abbondanti, puoi godere della compagnia di Lorenzo durante tutta la serata, proprio come nelle osterie di una volta. Prezzi ottimi considerando quanto abbiamo mangiato e quanto tutto fosse buono. Tornerò!
