Osteria da Mariano In Venezia

For the first time, I tasted authentic Venetian cuisine. The risotto al go' is amazing, as is the creamed cod. The quality/price ratio is quite good. Perhaps in the evening when it's crowded, it can be a bit chaotic, but that's the beauty of trattorias.

It's always a pleasure to come and eat at Mariano's. I've been to this restaurant many times, and each time I've been amazed by a new dish, a new flavor, a new way of working with simple, traditional, and delicious ingredients. The menu isn't overly extensive, but every dish is worth trying. The cod, in particular, in its many variations, undoubtedly holds a special place. The ambiance is meticulously crafted, with old souvenirs hanging on the walls that contribute to the restaurant's familiar, yet not overly homey, feel: the cuisine remains meticulously prepared. The bread basket surprisingly deserves special mention. Although it's a relatively minor element, the variety of crispy, flavorful breads, breadsticks, and "plain" bread I found at Mariano's has convinced me, after my first visit, to return again and again to this little gem of Venetian cuisine.

We ate very well. Prices were reasonable for fish dishes.

Non conoscevo il posto, mi ha portato il mio compagno ed è stata una bella scoperta. Una bella osteria in vecchio stile e con ottimi piatti e selezione di vini. Abbiamo preso due calici di White Peak (ottimo), un primo e un secondo. Il servizio è stato piacevole e attento. I piatti proposti sono tipici veneziani, per la maggior parte di pesce. Spero di tornare presto

Abbiamo mangiato moeche nostrane e castraure di stagione, risotto di go! Da chioggiotta dove il pesce è sempre fresco loro sono solo da invidiare!!! Tutto pesce fresco e simpatico anche il proprietario e il personale ❤️ Bravi!!!!
