Wonderful! Regarding food, this restaurant deserves its second star. Comparing to other 1 star restaurants in Italy, this one is far above.

A splendid experience. We opted for the 5-course tasting menu, with wine pairing. Among the dishes, our honorable mention is for the extraordinary combination of prawns and fois gras. All the combinations of the different glasses can enhance the experience for the palate. Attentive staff, present and available to answer our questions and curiosities with enthusiasm. The Chef's visit to the tables was also much appreciated, simple, genuine and showing real interest in each diner. A dinner that we will keep among our fondest memories. Congratulations to all the people at the venue.

Overpriced Michelin tasting menu considering the variety and flavours. Nothing stood out and they used cuttlefish in three of the ten dishes on this particular menu and I felt that was quite lazy. Service was decent albeit unenthusiastic, would not recommend. It is dead centre Rome historic district though so you are paying for the location and the ambiance inside was cozy.

I chose Per Me Giulio in Rome to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday, and it turned out to be a truly memorable occasion. The restaurant’s seafood-based tasting menu was a delightful journey through a variety of exquisite dishes, each one beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. One standout dish of the evening was undoubtedly the red sorbet served alongside one of the savory courses. This unexpected pairing was a revelation, perfectly balancing sweet and savory in a way that elevated the entire meal. The expertly paired wines further enhanced each course, showcasing the sommelier’s keen understanding of how to complement the menu. The atmosphere at Per Me Giulio was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special celebration. The wait staff were lovely and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening. However, the experience fell just short of perfection due to the service at our table. While professional and courteous, the staff could have been a bit more engaging to create that truly five-star experience. Despite this minor detail, our evening at Per Me Giulio was outstanding. The delicious food, exceptional wine pairings, and the joyous atmosphere made my father’s birthday celebration unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Rome.

Top restaurant for a special dinner

Very nice experience. The chef has a unique understanding of seafood applications. The final choice of quail meat also brought a unique experience. The only flaw I see is the service, where you can clearly feel understaffed. Overall very tasty and highly recommended.

Probably the best meal we had on this trip, and maybe the best meal I've had this year, esp. for the price. Perfectly executed. artfully prepared dishes leaning in a seafood direction. I didn't realize until a week later how well-priced the wines were. Warm welcome, and lots of nice discussion about the flavors and the wine.

The whole experience was disappointing. Staff pushing for more expensive wines. Because we didn’t accept a more expensive wine, the atmosphere was hostile. The small bites with the apero were tasteless. The 5 course menu misses refinement. The fish of the main course was far too much cooked and chewy.

I ate 5 courses. The appetizer was very delicious so I had high expectations. The further back I went, the more regret I felt. The pairing leaves something to be desired in terms of taste and aroma. Yesterday, I found out that there was a reason to be left behind.
