Osteria da Gano In Siena

Splendid food and really good staff, attentive and service minded! However, the portions were a bit small.

The Osteria da Gano was a real hit! The restaurant was recommended to us by the host of our hotel Palazzo di Valli – and it was a top tip. Every single dish was convincing: – The Crostone with Cavolo Nero and Lardo was rustic and sophisticated. – The ravioli with pumpkin, gorgonzola and walnuts – creamy, nutty, perfectly balanced. – The tagliatelle al ragù bianco di cinta were a dream – the finest ragù from the Cinta Senese pig, typical of the region. – Also salad and vegetable side dishes: fresh, lovingly prepared, simply honest and delicious. The service was super friendly, attentive and calm - you feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy with loving details. Great value for money. Conclusion: If you are in Siena – go! A real recommendation for anyone who likes good Tuscan cuisine.

100% recommended place on a well-known street in Siena. The meat was delicious, one of the best I've ever had, including the tartar. The service from the waiters was unbeatable, definitely a 10/10.

A charming restaurant located in Siena's historic center, near Porta Romana and Porta Pispini. The staff is young and courteous, and the owner is friendly and helpful. Traditional local dishes with a few modern twists. The dishes are top-quality, and everything is truly delicious, from the pasta and meat dishes to the desserts. The value for money is among the best in Siena, and we'll definitely be back in the future. A full score.

It was an ordinary restaurant in many ways. It was a bit salty, but the pasta was delicious!

Cheap, good and great service 10/10

Locale con posti a sedere dentro e fuori, a primo impatto abbiamo avuto l’impressione di essere entrati in un ristorante prettamente turistico, ordiniamo due primi, una tagliatella alla cinta e un picio cacio e pepe, tagliatella buona, ho apprezzato molto il ragù e la mangerei volentieri nuovamente, mentre per quanto riguarda il picio ho riscontrato parecchi errori tecnici nella preparazione del cacio e pepe, piatto prettamente turistico per palati stranieri secondo me. Passiamo ai secondi, tagliata ok cottura giusta per come l’avevo richiesta, pollo buono, particolare, sfizioso. Prezzi davvero onesti. Purtroppo il caos all’interno della sala è forte, se si cerca un po’ di tranquillità in coppia non è il locale ideale, l’ambiente è piccolo e i tavoli sono molto vicini tra loro

La cucina di questa piccola trattoria merita 5 stelle, assolutamente. Ma non posso cenare tranquillo con mia moglie se un tavolo a tre metri urla bercia e ride sguaiatamente. Per poco non mi sono alzato a dirglielo, ma non deve essere mio compito. E aggiungo che un’illuminazione più appropriata valorizzerebbe più l’atmosfera. Fari, faretti, troppo.
