Viajar y comer suelen ser una combinación muy planificada; tienes poco tiempo en un lugar y quieres asegurarte la mejor experiencia. Sin embargo, a veces, lo inesperado trae una experiencia tan memorable. Planeamos nuestro viaje a Módena, e hicimos la investigación, pero no pudimos reservar una reserva. Simplemente no estábamos seguros de qué día estaríamos en Módena. Caminamos en el almuerzo y nos dieron la espalda por dos de los restaurantes de la lista. Luego llegamos a Trattoria Ermes y nos acogieron! Al final de la visita, este es fácilmente uno de los mejores lugares en los que hemos estado en toda Italia. El lugar es pequeño, tal vez alrededor de 10 mesas, y estará lleno en cada servicio. Pudimos llegar en el último minuto para el segundo turno cuando la lluvia cayó. Ermes es el lugar más acogedor para comer con comida fantástica. Las opciones son limitadas, pero teníamos el tortellini en caldo y la carne de res / patata guisada. Estos platos son tan simples pero la calidad y el cuidado puesto en la preparación no se puede enfatizar lo suficiente. Asegúrate de comenzar tu comida con un Lambrusco frío, y si tienes suerte, al final cantarás “Fin che la barca va” o “Romagna mia” con los lugareños y propietarios. Ermes è risorto, non il vecchio Ermes purtroppo ma il locale. Credo che alla morte del titolare il locale fosse stato rilevato da gente poco esperta del settore (mi avevano raccontato di una cucina mediocre e di un servizio scortese), ora, invece, la trattoria è in buone mani: la cucina è quella tradizionale di una volta, si mangia bene e in più, forse con un piglio un po' militaresco almeno a pranzo, c'è una buona organizzazione dei turni e del servizio in generale. Sono curioso di tornarci per cena.

Excellent dinner in a nice and characteristic place. We ate truly special fried gnocchi! The waiters were friendly and we liked the service. A real place to which I would return, indeed probably if I lived in Modena it would be a place to which I would go often and willingly. The first and second courses are also excellent. I think that the menu often changes even from day to day and this is very appreciable. Value for money is there! If I really want to find a small flaw, the cold cuts served with the fried gnocchi were not exceptional, but everything else more than made up for it.

Historic venue, staff exactly as I wanted, quick and always precise communication with the various types of customers. Really good food at a very fair price. I had tagliatelle with meat sauce (very good) and scallops with balsamic vinegar (good, good). Water, coffee and wine, 27 euros each, there were 6 of us eating and we all left satisfied. I recommend it

Excellent food, I recommend it. Typical Modena restaurant. the menu changes day by day. very small place. I recommend booking. patient and kind staff. I recommend the tortelloni and the rabbit. I'll be back.

If you want to eat in the classic Modena style of the past, this is the right place. The dishes they served reminded me of Sunday family lunches. It is advisable to book limited places

What an amazing experience! The food was absolutely fantastic, but the atmosphere also left its mark. It is said that Pavarotti was a regular here. An unmissable place for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in authentic Emilian cuisine and its unique atmosphere.

The most typical of Modena's trattorias. Excellent traditional cuisine, excellent friendly, sincere and cheerful service. To try and try again. The only flaw... it's addictive!!
